NO EVENING MASS ON NEW YEAR’S DAY

With these words an angel of the Lord announced to the world the good news of the arrival of the long awaited Messiah - Jesus – who comes to give us the gift everyone wants more than any-thing, a future and a hope. Christmas is a wonderful time of celebrating the infinite love of our heavenly Father and to receive Jesus into our homes and into our hearts. Our prayer is that you gratefully accept God’s gift of a Savior and return to Him an abundance of your love and devotion. Let’s be living witnesses to God’s redemptive grace and to the life-giving hope we have in Jesus. May the newborn Christ Child abundantly bless you and your family. Merry Christmas!! Fr. Robert Fulton, Pastor

Pastor’s Message | A Disciple’s Heart

Lord, the jolly jingle’s all around - But not in every heart…

Red and green are everywhere— But some folks

Just feel blue…

The rushing ‘round to buy and wrap Disheartens lonely souls…

Plans for Christmas eve Leave out all those who’ll be alone…

This merry month will be For some, the hardest time of all…

Then, help me, Lord, I pray…

Help me hear the tears that fall As Christmas bells are ringing…

Let me see the shades of blue That cloud a neighbor’s joy…

Help me wrap my love to share With those who’ll be alone…

On hearts that ache and know the pain This season often brings,

Let your touch come With grace to heal,

With peace, on Christmas day…

Amen

We need your help!

We are looking for a few dedicated individuals to help in

our Altar Society and Altar Linens Ministry.

The Altar Society helps clean and maintain the body

of the Church—there are 4 teams, each team cleans

one time a month after the 8:00 am Mass.

The Altar Linens Ministry launder and iron the altar

linens that we use at each Mass.

If you are interested or have questions please call or

email Sandra Roman 626-915-7873

Can you imagine a better way to celebrate the exhilarating joy and radiance of Christmas than with poinsettias? These cheery flowering ornamental plants are celebrated during this special season for their brightly colored foliage. With their openness and flowers within flowers, they embrace life in all its blessed richness.

At St. Louise de Marillac, let us remember those nearest and dearest to us, whether living or deceased, with these brightest of all flowers in preparation of the birth of Jesus Christ, who is the reason for this season. Through the ages, poinsettias have been given as gifts, and in this season of giving, let us honor God’s only

begotten Son, the greatest gift of all.

So please join us and bring your poinsettias to the hall patio or Parish Center on or before Wednesday, Dec. 23rd in time for inclusion at our Christmas Eve and Midnight Masses.

Thank you!

POINSETTIA DONATIONS

Blue Christmas DID YOU KNOW?

Help kids understand boundaries during

the holidays

Christmas is a time for families, and extended aunts,

uncles, and cousins gather to celebrate the season

together. Your children should be comfortable

around their family members, but they should also

know the limits of their comfort zones, and what to

do if someone crosses a line – too many hugs and

kisses, or inappropriate tickling. Your children

should be comfortable saying “NO” whenever

things cross their lines, and they should know that

you’ll back them up.

Warning Signs: Just Where Is the Boundary Line?”

A Special Gift for you at Christmas.

If there is one person we should each get to know in a deeply personal way, it is Jesus – the carpenter, the King of Kings, the light of the world ~ HE wants good things for us more than we want them for ourselves. HE is the healer of our souls. That is what you will find in this book. Please

enjoy our gift to you.

The St. Louise ministers will be handing out “Rediscover Jesus” books after all Christmas Masses. Tables will be set up at the front of the Church and at the side door. We would like every-one to have an opportunity to receive a book; our supplies are limited, so please one per family.

May God’s blessings be upon you this Christmas Season.

Parents/Guardians, we hope you encourage and allow your child to join in this special ministry. This is a beautiful way for your child to express their active participation in the life of the Church. The Altar Server has an important role at liturgical celebrations. In this ministry the Altar Servers must have proper instruction, be sincere, and committed. This is a very special and important ministry.

Training dates are set for December. All trainings are held in the Church.

SGV Homeless Shelter Clothes Drive—Update

Thank you for your generous donations of winter clothes, and new socks and underware. With it being a cold and wet winter season , your gifts will be much needed. Clean and dry under garments go along way when

living on the streets. I would like to report to you that our parish has abundantly blessed the SGV Shelter that will be hosted at St. Dorothy Church in Glendora, the last weeks of the 2015 year.

Truck loads have been donated by the St. Louise Community that we will have plenty of left over donations

after the shelter ends! We will continue our distribution of these winter clothes to the homeless in the San Pedro and Los Angeles regions as well!!!

Your gifts of time and treasure go along way my friends. Let us continue to remember those who suffer in our

community and in our world and extend those acts of mercy even after the holiday season ends.

On behalf of my co-coordinators I would like to extend to you a generous and warm thank you. May our Lord continue to bless you.

In His Service, Dn Omar
