Dear Parishioners,

Today we rejoice in and with the following children who are making their First Com-munion at the 11:00 am and 12:30 pm Masses: Vanessa Barroso, Dylan Castaneda, Adyson Febre, Christopher Gallego, Dasom Jung, Michael Lopez, Aaron Mejia, Axel-Ryan Nzi, Sophia Park, Kevin Paucar, Tatiana Perdomo, Joshua Ra, Byron Salinas, Jada Santiago, Woori Yi, Kimberly Zhinin, Yasmin Bravo, Daniel Cabrales, Blanca Campos, Lesly Jimenez, Bryan Primo, Allison Ramirez, Jasmin Sanchez, Daniel Zambrano. We thank their parents, families and catechists for bringing them to this special mo-ment of their lifelong faith-journey. May they always remember these words of Pope Francis: “It is important that children be well prepared for First Communion and that every child makes it, be-cause it is the first strong, strong step of this belonging to Jesus Christ, after Baptism and Confirma-tion.” We also welcome, into the family of faith, three children baptized during today’s 11:00 am Mass: Rosie Mari Di Gaetano, Kailyn Daniella Perdomo, Dabree Skylar Castaneda. May they loyally keep the faith in the years and decades to come. This coming Thursday, we welcome Bishop Paul Sanchez, Auxiliary of the Brooklyn Diocese, as we join with Queen of Angels parish in celebrating Confirmation here. We will list our newly confirmed in next week’s bulletin. Next Sunday is the Solemnity of Pentecost. At the Spanish Mass, one of our RCIA pro-gram members will receive Confirmation, and a baby and her great grandmother will be bap-tized. In all these sacramental stages of Christian initiation, we praise God for the increase and for the “life in the Spirit” that continues the presence of the living Lord in the world to-day. - Father Jerry Jecewiz

FOOD PANTRY

is usually open Thursdays from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon, and Saturdays from 1:30 to 3:00 pm.

New volunteers are always welcome, as are donations of canned, packaged foods (non-perishable). We do not accept clothing, books or furniture.

The Bread and Wine this week are offered for those receiving First Communion and Confirmation.

will meet on May 21st, 7:00 pm, at St. Teresa’s Parish Center (44 St. & 50 Ave.) in Woodside. Items include a crime report from the NYPD,

words from elected officials or their reps, histori-cal presentation on local history, etc. Share your neighborhood concerns and keep abreast of our

community.

S.A.T. PREP Our Korean members run an English-language SAT PREP program at their 37th Street Pastoral Cen-ter. They also do classes for SHSAT and PSAT. The summer schedule is from July 6 to August 21. Phone 646-957-5801 for more info, or stop by the rectory for a brochure.

This Sunday is the final class for our RELI-GIOUS EDUCATION program. Children are being given reregistration forms to sign up for the next pastoral year, beginning in Sep-tember. Also: spread the word to potential newcomers to the program as well.
