Jesus’ resurrection—the most important event in human history– is how we know that what he said and did while on earth is true and his promises to us are trustworthy. During his public ministry, he spoke and acted as God. He promised that, if we follow him, we will have eternal life. Either he was God and had the power to make it true, or he was a mere man claiming to be someone he was-n’t. His victory over the tomb was verified by over 500 eyewitnesses. His resurrection gives us hope and the assuring promise of eternal life.

Gifts made to the Annual Catholic Appeal will provide support to tens of thou-sands of people in Brooklyn and Queens through key programs, ministries, and ser-vices across the Church in Brooklyn and Queens. Join us and answer the call by mak-ing a gift to the 2018 Annual Catholic Appeal. Our Mission: For generations, the faithful community of the Diocese of Brooklyn through its bishops, clergy and religious have brought the Lord’s charity and love to the aged, in-firmed and disadvantaged. They have worked in schools, hospitals, and in the provi-sion of social services; they have founded parishes and communities; they have An-swered the Call to do the Lord’s work. The Annual Catholic Appeal provides us with an opportunity to Answer the Call of our faith and spread Christ’s love in our communities in Brooklyn and Queens by bringing the Gospel to those who need it the most. Each year as a member of the Catholic Church, you are encouraged to be a beacon of hope to those less fortunate by taking a leadership role in giving and setting an example of Christian Stewardship for others to follow. Much has been given to us and we give thanks by showing a sin-cere concern for the mission and work of the Diocese. By giving back in charity through the Annual Catholic Appeal, we join together as good stewards in our journey to Answer the Call of the Lord. Know that your support of the Annual Catholic Appeal provides for all the ministerial efforts being undertaken in Brooklyn and Queens. Your commitment to join together in faith and to share your gifts with one another is inspiring. To those who have supported the Annual Catholic Appeal in the past, a very gra-cious thank you from those whom you have helped and from those whose lives you have changed. We are grateful for your partnership in the Lord’s work and invite you to join with your neighbors again this year in the mission Christ has given every one of us…to Answer the Call.
