SANTA’S REAL( 6 ), and FREDDY ALL OVER( 9 ), were slow to begin. LITTLE MAVIS( 3 ) galloped on the back of STYLISH REASON( 4 ) at the first turn, causing both runners to lose ground, with LITTLE MAVIS( 3 ) colliding with FREDDY ALL OVER( 9 ), which lost considerable ground from this incident.

BLACK CANDLES( 6 ) raced wide soon after the start, checking ESTHER’S LILY( 7 ), and TORPEDO ROSE( 8 ), with ESTHER’S LILY( 7 ) losing ground. VERY VAIN( 3 ) galloped on the back of TORPEDO ROSE( 8 ) approaching the turn into the back straight. From this incident, both runners lost ground, with TORPEDO ROSE( 8 ) dipping coming down on it’s nose, and VERY VAIN( 3 ) checking BLACK CANDLES( 6 ), which lost ground sharply. MISS TIPPETT( 7 ) eased at the turn in to the back straight, losing ground sharply, before pulling up in the back straight, failing to finish. ONE ZORRO( 6 ) was vetted with no incapacitation period imposed. With regards to the actions of ONE ZORRO( 6 ) at the turn in to the back straight, Stewards invoked GAR 69A(1) for failing to pursue the lure. As this was the greyhounds first offence, ONE ZORRO( 6 ) was suspended at Gosford for 28 days, and is required to perform a satisfactory trial prior to re-nomination per GAR 69A(2)(a)
