months. The greyhound trialled satisfactorily and was cleared to resume racing.

RAPID ESCAPE( 7 ) dwelt at the start. LOVIN’ THE SUN( 1 ) and RUBY RIVIERA( 5 ) were slow to begin. ALL INN EVIE( 2 ), OUR MATE CHIVO( 4 ), and VICMYSTER( 8 ) came together at the first turn, when disputing the lead, with OUR MATE CHIVO( 4 ) and VICMYSTER( 8 ) losing ground, hampering BARB’S GALAXY( 3 ), and STEEL PANTHER( 6 ), which also lost ground, BARB’S GALAXY( 3 ) worst affected. BARB’S GALAXY( 3 ) raced wide at the home turn. RAPID ESCAPE( 7 ) and VICMYSTER( 8 ) came together, soon after entering the home straight.

BLACK MINERAL( 4 ) galloped on the back of MARGO TANGA( 8 ) at the first turn, with BLACK MINERAL( 4 ) losing ground hampering ALL KEY( 6 ). Shortly after, GOODWIN THOMMO( 2 ) was checked off the heels of MARGO TANGA( 8 ), causing GOODWIN THOMMO( 2 ) to lose ground, and check BLACK MINERAL( 4 ), which lost further ground. GOODWIN THOMMO( 2 ) raced wide in the home straight checking BLACK MINERAL( 4 ), when racing at the rear of the field. The winner of this event BLAZIN’ DAISY( 3 ) was locked away for a Urine Sample to be obtained at the Direction of Stewards.

In two separate incidents at the first turn, SOY SAUCE( 6 ) checked OPEN SLATHER( 5 ), with OPEN SLATHER( 5 ) losing ground from this incident checking FIREFLY JEN( 3 ), which also lost ground, and STEVE SWORDFISH( 2 ) galloped on the back of JASEY’S DAISY( 4 ), causing both runners to lose ground, STEVE SWORDFISH( 2 ) worst affected. PIXI LIMEBURNER( 1 ) and PICK A WHACKER( 7 ) raced tightly approaching the home turn, when contesting the lead. Although uncertain as to the cause, BLACK ORCHARD( 8 ) appeared distressed post race, and was subjected to a veterinary examination, which disclosed tail soreness. 10 Days Incapacitation Certificate issued. JASEY’S DAISY( 4 ) was vetted and was found to have sustained a dislocated toe on the off side hind foot, and an injured off side groin. 10 Days Incapacitation

OPTIMUS REX( 4 ) was slow to begin. KING COLIN( 3 ) and OPTIMUS REX( 4 ) came together at the first turn, both losing ground. Shortly after, STELLA MARINA( 7 ) in running to the lead, checked WINLOCK JAGUAR( 5 ), and DOUBLE ‘EM UP( 6 ), causing both runners to lose ground, WINLOCK JAGUAR( 5 ) worst affected. Stewards spoke to the winning trainer regarding her greyhounds improved performance. Ms Holloway informed Stewards that STELLA MARINA( 7 ) was still yet to reach peak fitness after having a prolonged injury enforced spell. Although trialling well when first resuming, the greyhound was yet to reproduce this in races until today. Stewards noted Ms Holloway’s comments, however notwithstanding, had STELLA MARINA( 7 ) locked away with a urine sample to be taken, due to the improved performance.
