STORY

Mr. Haroon came to his friends village to attend a matrimonial (means marriage) ceremony of his friend. He

enjoyed the marriage to its fullest especially the folk danceand singing. Its 9 oclock in the night and he has to

leave as he has to go to work the next morning. He works at a spaceships manufacturing company. On his way

back, in the middle of a road he saw a little heap in front of his car. When he get closer, he saw a man lying numb

on his face. He stopped a few yards away and called out for the person apparently dead. He was scared yet he was

thinking to help him. He turned off the headlights of the car and walked towards him. When he reached closer he

once again called out to make sure he is not falling into any trap. Scared he pulled over the dead man. He looked

familiar. Upon a bit reflection, he recollected that the person is a shoemaker who works in the city he lives in. The

dead person has had helped Haroon once when he was robbed off his possession, even his shoes. He was gloomy

to know that he is dead. He called the police and informed them about the situation he himself found into. Police

tried to avoid him and refrained him from intervening. He realized there must be big fish involved, maybe a

landlord. Police took the custody of the body and sent Haroon home as if they wanted him to hush up. He drove all

the way home thinking about the poor shoemaker. He decided that he will help him and his family. He started

collecting the data on his own. He called his village-friend and asked him to collect the data as shoemaker lived

next to his village. They found that the suspected murderer is the landlord who wanted to occupy the only patch of

land shoemaker had. Next thing Haroon had to do is to make the suspected murderer to appear in front of the

court. He visited his friend Ali, who is an attorney-at-law and narrated him the situation. Ali extended his hand for

help. He prepared a legal notice and put it in the envelope. He rechecked the address, telephone number and

zipcode on the envelopeto make sure it reaches the intended person. The next morning, notice was dispatched to

summon the accused landlord. Upon receipt of the notice, landlord was infuriated but he had no choice but to

appear at the court. Ali and Haroon collected the evidences and prepared a list of the witnesses to appear at the

court. Trial sessions were held and still the accused couldnt be proved guilty. The only witness Ali had is the

landlord himself. He has to make him speak and accept the crime he has perpetrated. Ali thought about a possible

way he can make him talk. Landlord was called on the dock and he took the oath to speak nothing but the truth.

Suddenly Ali perplexed him by saying that the bullet found in his head was off a pistol licensed to you. The landlord

infuriated by the earl questions by Ali, confusingly said it wasnt my pistol and the moment he uttered these words

he was caught deep in the argument by Ali and he himself confessed the murder of the innocent shoemaker. He

was cuffed and on his way down the aisle he threatened Ali by saying that he has put his hand in the beehive and

he will have to pay the price. But Ali did pay any heed as he was satisfied and happy that today he has done

something really pleasing. Haroon congratulated him and thanked Allah. On their way home Haroon offered Ali tohave an icecream with him. They celebrated what they did and smile on their faces could say it all.
