th Sub: 108 Birthday celebration of Mother Teresa “Service to Mankind is Service to God” - Mother Teresa

Mother Teresa, who dedicated her life for the service of the poor and downtrodden, is an epitome of self-assured simplicity and hope for the hapless in the society. She spread love and compassion throughout the world and brought relief and hope to the children, destitute, the sick, and the dying. She left a testament of unshakeable faith, invincible hope and extraordinary charity as a mother of the poor and the living symbol of compassion to the world, and a living witness to the thirsting love.

Nobel Laureate Mother Teresa Charitable Trust (MTCT), NGO, started in 1997, the year in which the great Mother Teresa passed away. It's units (1) Mother Teresa Forum (MTF) and (2) Mother Teresa Auto Drivers and unorganized Labourer's Welfare Association are the execution wings of the trust. It enrolls members from the public, irrespective of caste, creed or religion. Mother Teresa Forum enrolls members from the general public (free of cost), and motivate them to render service in their respective areas in the footsteps of Mother Teresa. Our volunteers undertake free health, dental, blood donation camps, distribution of books, notebooks to school students, sports, awareness programmes, sapling plantation, skill development - free tailoring & free computer training, free tuition programmes etc in various parts of India.

Apart from this we under took WHO (World Health Organization) sponsored anti tobacco awareness programmes and Govt. of India sponsored, EDP programmes, Human rights awareness programmes, Ministry of Earth Sciences sponsored Earth Day programmes, Ministry of Health sponsored Naturopathy awareness programmes in various parts.

MTCT is now, accredited as a Special Consultative Status NGO by the (UNO) United Nation's Organization's Economic and Social Council.

th thMother Teresa's 108 birth anniversary falls on 26 August 2018. We wish to celebrate this day in a grand manner to spread the message of love and service in the minds of the future generation, and infuse the ideals of charity in their mind, and make them to help the deserved people in their neighborhood.

We have requested the State Govts., to undertake the following programmes in their respective states so that the spirit of love and charity be spread in the minds of the younger generations.

We have also requested our Mother Teresa Forum volunteers to organize welfare programmes in their respective areas in all parts of India wherever possible.

On behalf of Mother Teresa Charitable Trust, we have proposed a programe in Chennai in which the Hon'ble Ministers, leaders, prominent cinema artists, religious heads from Hindu, Muslim and Christian religions, Philanthropists, social activists etc are expected to participate.

We have also decided to distribute the following to the destitutes, poor students, orphans, handicapped, widows and poor people.a) School bags and notebooks to 2000 poor students (Corporation / Govt. Schoolsb) Sewing machines to 50 widows.c) Iron box 25 Nos. to poor men / women for self employment.d) Tricycles to 25 handicapped persons/Wheel Chairs (25 Nos)e) 2000 Sarees to the poor women. f .g) 2000 T- shirts to the students.

We solicit your esteemed organization to join with us in our welfare activity and provide with any of the above items so that the poor and needy will be benefited. We also request you or your

thnominees to personally participate in the function which will be held on 13 September 2018 at 4.00 PM at Kamarajar Arangam, Annasalai, Chennai - 600 006. We will display your company's logo in the materials you supply and in the stage.
