Chamber Music Ages 7–18 AM/PM or Full Day
Chamber music offers the opportunity for instrumentalists and vocalists to participate in small, musical ensembles based on instrument and experience level. Students receive coachings from faculty and counselors throughout the day, while at times directing themselves. Repertoire from all different musical styles is explored, from ancient music through contemporary, jazz, and rock. Students have the chance to perform in multiple groups with a variety of other instrumentalists. This setting provides a fun social atmosphere where participants gain vital skills applicable to music and well beyond.
Minimum one year of experience on an instrument.
Suzuki Violin & Cello Ages 6–8 AM or Full Day • After camp care available
Designed to provide study in the philosophy and methods of Dr. Shinichi Suzuki. The program includes small group lessons organized by level, music and movement, larger ensembles, and musicianship. Children learn by ear, repetition and encouragement, and perform for parents.
Open to students of all ages from beginner to advanced level.
Vocal Arts Ages 7–18 AM/PM or Full Day
The Vocal Arts offering is a nurturing environment where students learn to express themselves through song and movement as they explore the Broadway and American Songbook repertoire. Students study music theory, sight singing, improv acting, performance practice, and have weekly private lessons and coachings, culminating in a Cabaret performance of solos and ensemble scenes. A perfect way to improve vocal technique and musicality.
Open to students of all ages from beginner to advanced level.
Conservatory Summer Stock Ages 7–10 Full Day
In this first-year collaboration between Concordia Conservatory and The Bronxville Ballet, students ages 7–10 will prepare for a fully-staged, one-act production with live musical ensemble accompaniment. In this full day camp, voice, dance (tap & jazz) and acting technique classes are taught. The Conservatory Summer Stock is a unique combination of mounted stage production and classes.
Summer Academy Ages 11–18 Full Day
This audition-only offering, open to advancing high school and middle school singers and instrumentalists, expands upon the model of the Conservatory’s Honors Academy. In Summer Academy, students receive classes in music theory, ear-training, composition, chamber music or ensemble vocal scenes, and performance practice. Additionally, many of our students will have the opportunity to perform in the orchestra for the Summer Stock performance.
Minimum one year of private voice or instrumental study required.
Auditions will be held Saturday, March 10 at 5:30pm in Stein Hall. Video Auditions accepted through March 10.

Great Beginnings Piano Ages 6–8 AM or Full Day • After camp care availableChildren are offered the basics of piano playing, and are introduced to listening skills and the fundamental elements of rhythm, melody and notation. The program progresses through a piano and theory method book, and students perform with other Conservatory students.
Guitar Launch Ages 6–8 AM or Full Day • After camp care availableGuitar Launch offers children the basics of guitar. Children will be introduced to listening skills and the fundamental elements of rhythm, melody and notation. Students will perform at our end-of-program concert.
Rock Band Ages 11–18 PM SessionStudents work together with faculty to form a band, learn songs and perform a fully-staged rock concert in the Schoenfeld Campus Center at the end of the program…with some fun and games along the way. These are real rock bands with real instruments performing the greatest hits from classic to modern rock and pop music. Learn the music of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Radiohead, Greenday, The Foo Fighters and many more great bands.Open to students with a minimum of one year private lessons.
Songwriting & Composition Ages 11–18 AM/PM or Full DayThe Conservatory’s summer Songwriting & Composition program offers students the opportunity to explore and refine their compositional skills. Students receive private composition lessons, classes in analysis, score-reading, theory, and aural skills, and the opportunity to collaborate with professional musicians in creating new works. During the program, students write pieces for small ensembles which are then performed and recorded in a full evening concert, providing an invaluable learning tool and record of their achievement.
College Prep Bootcamp Grades 10–12 Full Day
This program is ideal for students considering applying to liberal arts colleges/music schools with the intention of showcasing their musical talents. The program’s focus will be audition preparation, recordings, essay writing and recommendation letters. The highlight of this unique program will include the preparation and making of a professional recording for use as art supplements on applications.
Additional recording fee ranges from $350–$500.
Summer is an ideal time for students new to the Conservatory, for a current student to enjoy music instruction throughout the summer, or to begin learning a new instrument. Music lessons are 30, 45 or 60 minutes in length, and students can register for as few as one lesson or as many as eight weekly lessons.
