Hoopsters Sign Up for
Basketball TourneyEager to covert stored to kinetic energy, thereby
reaping the many benefits of exercise, WM Ige Abe
announced the formation of an Intra-Lodge basketball
tourney. He also expressed the hope that brethren from
other Lodges can join Jose Rizal Lodge or form their
own teams for an eventual Inter-Lodge League. Hardly
had the announcement hit the waves when brothers
started signing up. Within hours after the cyber release
of the initiative, over 15 brothers signed up; thus
confirming that a lot of brothers are ready to go back
to their dunking and lay-up days. Coordinating
the initiative is Bro Kristian Francisco who will
announce the time and place of practices. So standby
for further details. As a piece of information our
Bro. Willy Apo, was a professional basketball player in
the Philippines who played with the San Miguel
Brewery team. He played with such greats as Carlos

The Worshi ful Master s eaks
One of the best things that can happen to ones life is to have the love and support of the people you love. The strong and
unconditional support of my beloved wife, Mely and my daughters Katrina, Karessa and Kirsten, gives me courage and
inspiration to accept the responsibilities of a Worshipful Master. I reiterate my pledge to the brethren that I formally dedicate my
time, energy and utmost effort to the mastership of this great Lodge. I accept with gratitude and humility and face the future with
hope and optimism for what we together will accomplish in the months ahead. In serving we recognize a simple but powerful truth:
we need each other. And we must care for one another. I ask that we rededicate ourselves to the very idea of Masonry. Let us begin
with energy and hope with faith and discipline. Let us work until our work is done. From the mountaintop of celebration, we hear
a call to serve with brotherly love, relief and truth. And now, each to his own way with Gods help, we must answer the call.
