FUND RAISING FOR THE

CONSTRUCTION OF RECTORY “There is a time for everything says Qoheleth; a time to weep and a time to laugh.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1,4) There is a saying that anything that has a beginning has an end. All too soon my five-year-stay at Holy Family Parish comes to an end. My ministry with you in this parish will come to an end on August 31, 2017 and by the end of September this year, I have to go back to my diocese in Ghana. It has been a very memorable time with all of you here in Holy Family Parish and with you I have felt like this was my home away from home. What I have learned from you and the positive way you have impacted my life will forever remain for me a cherished memory. There is one deep-seated desire I have always had: to find ways of helping build a rectory for the church in my hometown, St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at Abura Obohen in Ghana. St. Anthony’s Catholic Church is a mission church and the priest visits the church as and when it is possible. Construction of a rectory will pro-vide accommodation for a resident priest and ensure the growth of the church. I have had discussions with the leaders of the community and they welcome very much the idea; they have allotted a plot for such a construc-tion and are ready to support it with manual labor. In addition, they have started laying cement blocks with my little financial assistance. A moderate rectory may be estimated at $50,000. I am therefore humbly ap-pealing to you to support me in this noble effort of building a rectory for my home church, St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at Abura Obohen in Ghana. The project will certainly take some time and will need a lot of effort but no donation will be too small. Your $10.00 or your $50.00 donation will go a long way to support this project. Donations could be made in cash or check; and all checks could be written to the order of Rev. Anthony Enyinful, with a memo of “Rectory Construction.” Thank you all for your understanding and support. I am forever grateful to all of you my dear parishioners. May God richly bless you.
