• Configuring the functions for the QuadClient interface is carried out in the QuadClient Configurator (QC Config). You can call the QC Config via the Interface tab. Click on the QC

• In one of the previous units you defined the user group, created a user and designed a building structure. To fill this function, mark itin the project window.

• Click the Building structure ( ) tree entry.

• Click on the tree entry Fold out Ground Floor ( ) in the building structure to open the ground floor for editing.

• The function templates are available in the Function templates window. They are sorted according to function areas. The switching and dimming function templates are found in the Lighting / switching group.

• Click the fold tree Lighting /switching ( ) button.

• Assignment of a function in a room is carried out by marking, and then moving via drag and drop.

• Drag the Switch with status ( ) tree entry, while keeping left mouse button pressed, to Room 012 ( ) .

• The text of a function in the building structure will now be defined.

• Enter LG1 into the field Text in room.

• The switching behaviour of the function template Switching with status can be set via the Behaviour selection field. You can select between Switch on / Switch off and Switch over (toggle). Toggle is selected in this example. Here the status should be directly displayed or the condition triggered by an action (inverted status). The condition is displayed directly in this example.

• To connect the function with the group addresses, fold open Tree 02 Switch lighting in the EIB comminication objects window. Then fold out the middle group and connect the group address for light group 1 via drag and drop to the switching object in the properties window of the function.
