Description of Change

Reference previous notifications 2nd November 2015. PCN’s P-15-012191, 012092, 012093, 012194, 012195 and 012196 This notification is to inform our customers that TE Connectivity is closing our Menlo Park facility in USA and moving the production to our Trutnov facility in Czech Republic. The receiving facility is already established as a Heat Shrinkable Tubing (“Tubing” or “Products”) manufacturing site with Trutnov facility manufacturing Tubing since 2008. As part of the production move, we will start to ship RT-375 products on 9th November 2017 from the Trutnov facility. After this date TE reserves the right to provide qualified products from any of the manufacturing locations during this transfer until the final closure date of Menlo Park location by the end of 2019. As not all part numbers will transfer at the same time customers may still receive Products from the Menlo Park location after this transfer date and due to inventory we will carry to allow this transfer to happen and to minimize impact to our tubing customers. Where necessary TE will continue with internal qualification and testing of products after they are received at the new locations. The part number list attached shows you the RT-375 products that are affected. Some RT-375 parts are already manufactured in our Trutnov plant. If you require a PPAP or specific testing please inform us within 90 days of receiving this notification so we can coordinate the documentation and support your requirements. This should be requested from your local customer care representative. Should samples be required a limited range of product is available based on the products used for qualification purposes, please base your sample request around these parts (see attached spread sheet for part availability). After this 90 day period we will begin the transfer. TE will take ‘no reply’ as customers being satisfied with the TE internal qualification and testing. The release specifications for these products have not changed and part numbers for the spooled products and cut pieces remain the same. In some cases it has been necessary to update the product packaging. Please see the attached spread sheet for product packaging details. For Made to Order (MTO) parts Lead times will be adjusted to reflect the change in distance from the manufacturing location (for USA customer MTO lead times will increase). If special lead times are required please contact your customer care representative. For any questions or concerns please contact your Customer Care Professional.
