From the desk of the President ...

Hi Skyliners: We are heading into June and we have a lot of cool things coming up in the future. We are in need of members to fill the positions of, (First Vice President / Membership Chairmen) and (Second Vice President/Social Chairmen). Please contact me if you would be interested in these positions at [email protected] or (305) 394-1367 and I would be glad to fill you in on the responsibilities and duties. There is a group of us going to the TCI Convention in Anaheim California the week of July, 1 through July,7. It should be a great time. It is with sad news that we have lost a good friend and a long time TCI. member. Charles Lawrence Chipley III passed away Thursday May 23, 2019. He will surely be missed by friends and Family. We will be keeping his family in our prayers. We also have more sad news that Joyce Larimore’s mother has passed away in Ken-tucky and our prayers go out to Joyce and Michael Larimore and their family. Any Non-Board Member wishing to bring up a subject or make a suggestion at a Board Meeting needs to submit it in writing to a Board Member by email so we may have a chance to maybe get an answer for you or at least put some thought into your concern. The person making the request will have ten minutes under old business or new business which ever applies. The request must be submitted seven days prior to the Board Meeting. Your tall club has taken over the Meetup Group Tall Professionals. Most of their events will mirror our events. It doesn't cost anything to register with the Tall Professionals and you don't have to add a photo. But if you R.S.V.P. through the Meetup group, they will see who is coming and will be more likely to join us. Click here to sign up: Tall Professionals of South Florida Here are links to our Meetup and Facebook sites: Tall Professionals of South Florida (Miami, FL) - Meetup and Florida Skyliners on Facebook Here are two Web sites you should check out and use. The Tall Club of Miami site TallMiami.org and newly updated and more youthful appearing TCI Web site at tall.org Tall Clubs Internation-al. Here you will find information on TCI and other TCI member club functions. We’re looking for someone that has a good understanding of Facebook to keep it updated as well as the informational page on our club. Please con-tact me at [email protected] or (305) 394-1367. It can be a fun thing and interactive. The Tallmiami website is up and running but it’s a work in progress so bear with us. I hope to see everyone soon at a club weekend or event. Think Tall President: Clark

Editor’s Thoughts ...

Good Turn-out at the TCI Toast, Elections, and Prospect Picnic, and no rain! The TCI Annual Convention IS A LOT OF FUN! If you have not been to one, you should go. This year’s convention is in Anaheim and PreConvention is on a cruise ship. We need members to help us on the Board and we desperately need members willing to host an event. Hosting an event does not mean having the event at your home or apartment. It means planning the event (where to have it, arriving early to greet attendees, maintain a head count, make reservations if necessary). Please contact me to host an event or for more information at [email protected] or 954.294.0822. Does anyone have any ideas for events they would like on the calendar? Is there any event you would like on the calendar? Please email or call me with your ideas. Bob Habenicht, aka Ed, aka Jayson Blair, email me at [email protected] Editor / Trustee, Florida Skyliners of Miami / Tall Club of Miami Treasurer, Florida Skyliners of Miami / Tall Club of Miami Acting Social and Membership Chairperson

Paul and Eileen, Al and Carina, Pat M, Tom and Bette,

prospects John and Patricia, and our son Jameson for a

total of 21. We got the fire going, the food out, and start-

ed serving. We had our toast to our founder Kae Sumner

Einfeldt at exactly 1PM EDT. We had elections around

2 PM with the same group being elected again. Good

thing they volunteered! We enjoyed an afternoon of con-

versation with intrusions from the persistent ducks.

Same as last year, and the year before. We all had a

great time. Thanks to all who attended. Thanks to Cari-

na, Mary and Robert for some of the photos. Bob
