Sport News

The Rainbow Street Public School Athletics Carnival will be held on Thursday 5 July 2018 at

Hensley Athletic Field. We use this venue so that students can compete in all athletics events (including long and high jump) as well as gain experience running on an official running track. All students who have or are turning 8 years and older in 2018 will have the opportunity to compete in running and field events in age groups.

Full details about the carnival were sent home this week. Please return this permission note with full payment to your child’s class teacher. New 50km/h Speed Limit On Rainbow Street Roads and Maritime recently reduced the speed limit to 50km/h on streets in Randwick, including Avoca Street. This has been extended to include part of Rainbow Street.

The works to install the new speed limit signs will be undertaken on Monday 25 June 2018. There may be some temporary traffic changes to keep the work zone safe. Please keep to the speed limits and follow the direction of traffic controllers and signs. NOTE: This speed limit change does not override the 40km/h School Zone outside the school in the morning and afternoons. It reduces the 60km/h at other times to 50km/h.

Library News Scholastic Book Club Term 2 Issue 4 Earlier this month your child received a
