There were 27lessons, 10 returnappointments and 4 referralsmade for only 3 hours ofmissionary work.
Boni Umbal our wardmissionary and assistant wardclerk said “when I saw theexcitement of my fellow wardmissionaries and the full timemissionaries, I really felt theSpirit that time especially whenwe were in the field. Thosepeople who accepted us andlistened to our message werehappy.” He also added “Iknow that missionary work isimportant and if we will sharethe gospel, our HeavenlyFather and Jesus Christ will behappy. I also know that if wewill help the full timemissionaries we will beblessed.”
In behalf of theCabuyao Ward missionaries,we would like to commendNanay Consuelo Valdez whois the loving mother of SisterAlice Valdez and our AreaAuthority Elder Valdez.Despite of her age 76 yearsold, she still participated in the

Truly no unhallowedhands can stop the work fromprogressing of the missionarywork of the church. Nanay hasproven that our age can neverbe a hindrance in sharing thegospel. I hope that all of us willcontinue this work.

I’ll Find You My Friend
Ma. Jures Bravo wasbaptized last August 16, 2008at the age of 28 years old. Shewas born on August 24, 1979and she’s already married withone child named HermioneKian. Sister MJ was found bythe missionaries because herfriend Jarom Balarminoreferred her to the missionaries.
I was reminded by thewords of the song I’ll Find YouMy Friend
“I’ll go and find youmy friend I’ll help you
Our Savior’s plan isthe wayPlease accept when I find you
And we’ll be back with Himsomeday.
I have a testimony inmissionary work because myfamily is a product of themissionary program of thechurch.
Just like Sister MJ whowas taught by our diligent fulltime missionaries Elder Lerioand Elder Porsuelo. Shecommitted herself for baptismand confirmation in the Churchof Jesus Christ of Latter daySaints. She said “During mybaptism I have a lot of questionsin my mind but I was veryhappy and I did not even expectthat I would cry.” She added“At first I thought that you areworshipping Joseph Smith andyou do not have any scriptures.
But as days go by, I understandthe answers to my questions.“I am very excited everySunday because I feel that Ihave a date with HeavenlyFather and Jesus Christ.” Shementioned that “I know thatthis church is true and becauseof this church I have learnedto read the scriptures. I believethat some day my husband willalso be baptized and my familywill be eternal. Amen.”
Paul counseled to theEphesians in the NewTestament: (Ephesians 2:19)
“Now therefore ye areno more strangers andforeigners, but fellow citizenswith the saints and of thehousehold of God.”
MJ now feels that sheis no longer strangers inCabuyao Ward. She was foundby her friend to bring back intothe fold of our Lord.
I encourage eachmember to continuously refertheir friends and families to thefull time missionaries so thatthey will know and accept thetrue gospel.

In this issue we are glad to announce that we had three baptisms for thismonth. The two sisters who were baptized last Aug. 16, 2008 were Sister Ma.Jures Bravo and Sister Emily . They were referred by their great friends. MJ wasreferred by Jarom Belarmino of Calauan, Laguna while Sister Emily is a referral ofMayeth Bongalon. In the Doctrine and Covenants 18:10 “Remember the worth of souls is great in thesight of God;”
I strongly believe that we are all missionaries. We can help our full timemissionaries in sharing the gospel. I encourage you to give referrals to the eldersand let us give our non member friends a chance of eternal life.

Editor’sNote
Nowadays, we are allexperiencing financial difficultiessuch as the continuous increase onprices of basic commodities as wellas the electric and water bills.
Because of this, we cannot help but to worry on how to meet both ends. However, through the words of the God especially in the Book of Mormon (3 Nephi24:10) “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in myhouse; and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of Hosts, if I will not openyou the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing that there shall not beroom enough to receive it.”
As the head of the family who does not have any fixed salary as a driver, Ican say that being a full tithe payer helps me in supporting my family and also theeducation of my three daughters. Every time I receive my increase I immediatelyseparate the 10% for tithing to show my obedience to the Lord’s commandments. I
know that He pours all the blessings to my family. I am gratefulfor the Law of Tithing that strengthens my faith.
I know that the Lord loves us so much. Amen.

You will be reading the WOW Healthy! soon. Itwill be posted by Brother Percival Palevino, our very own77 year old health conscious brother. Together with hiswife, Sister Fortunata they still do brisk walking andjogging every morning. Moreover, they love to eatvegetables and fruits.
He has always emphasized the importance ofliving the Word of wisdom and the ways on how to keepour body physically fit. And he is willing to share with ustheir secrets on staying healthy. This will promoteawareness on our daily healthy living as we were told inthe Doctrine and Covenants 89.
Remember that health is wealth!
My dear Brothers & Sisters,
I know that we enjoyed a lot and gained some spiritualexperiences while serving the Lord during our very successfulWard Half-day Mission. The spirit of the Lord was there andHe leaded us to those people who are willing to listen to thegospel message that we have shared.I am sure that our Heavenly Father was really happy for thegreat effort that we have exerted, and no amount of time or evena single minute was wasted during that great day.
Truly, “No unhallowed hands can stop the work of theLord from progressing”. The Lord really needs all of us to sharethe gospel of Jesus Christ to all the people who are willing tolisten.
Always keep the spirit of enthusiasm that gives us warmfeelings deep within our hearts by serving Him continually. Don’tever let the adversary control our own personal liahonas andtake away our desire to press forward and do what is expectedof us.
Sincerely your brother.Bro. Romeo A. Policarpio

I do not believe that any man lives up to his ideal, butif we are striving,if are working ,if we are trying to the bestof our ability,to improve day by day, then we are in line ofour duty.
We need not fear if we are living righteously and wecan ask God for light, knowledge, intelligence and hisSpirit that will help us overcome our weaknesses.
We will also have an eternal life if we are in thestraight and narrow path. I hope that we will faithfully obeythe commandments of God and humble ourselves so we mayobtain all His blessings from God because it is by obedienceto the law that we receive such blessings

The gathering of scattered Israel is one of the most important teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ and Latte rday Saints. We should be helping the Lord in gathering the elects.
In Mosiah 28:3 “Now they were desirous that salvation should be declared to every creature, for they could not abear that any human bsoul should cperish; yea, even the very thoughts that any soul should endure dendless torment did cause them toquake and etremble”
We know brothers and sisters that if we fulfill ourresponsibility by preaching the gospel to the people who do notknow yet the truth, God promises to give us remarkable blessings.
