Year 6 The Year 6 competitive team played Middle Harbour on Friday, winning 19 to 8. This makes them

undefeated for the season! The team's captain, Jamie Caddick (6T), was proud of the efforts they applied, especially after a rocky start to the game. The fielding improved as the game progressed and the team used a range of batting strategies to keep the opposition on their toes. Player of the match was awarded to Declan Elliot (6T). Congratulations on an impressive season! The Year 6 social team faced Artarmon today in a tough match. At the end of the second innings the team was down 18 to 5. However, they turned it around in the second half of the game, closing the gap and finishing the game 22 to 17 to Artarmon. They showcased some impressive batting which led to lots of home runs. The captain, Ajhor Wriddho (6C), awarded Sophie Hobson (6C) with player of the match. Well done on a great season.

Year 5 The Year 5 competitive team faced North Sydney, winning 32 to 12. The team played well, with Jimmy getting an amazing home run and Sophia Maxwell was a force to reckon with on first base. Player of the match was given to Eden Borrie. The Year 5 social team played Artarmon in a close game, winning 12 to 10. The team batted beautifully and made some very smart decisions on when to make runs. Thank you to Ryan for filling in from the competitive team to help make a full team. Player of the match was Mesake Taulawakeiaho.

Band News - End of Year Band Concert and Presentation Assemblies

The Band Program celebrated a great year of music in style at North Sydney League’s Club on Sunday afternoon. From the well-executed suspense of Junior Band’s Creatures in the Attic to fabulous solos from our alumni in the Reunion Band’s Bossa Nova; from Concert Band’s stirring marching version of The Hey Song (sure to please all Dr Who fans out there) to Senior Band’s crowd pleasing rendition of “Tequila” much fun was had by all. It was a thrill to have so many high school students come back to play with (and offer inspiration to) their primary school peers. Not only has this inspired our children to continue their musical journey into high school, it has also reinforced the wonderful band community we have at Neutral Bay, which continues years after primary school has finished. We were very pleased with our new venue and have received a lot of positive feedback about the space, atmosphere, layout and sound. Special thanks to all the parents who generously gave up their time to help us move the many car loads of percussion to and from the venue to make it possible.

EWS Thank you: We raised $244,730!

Thanks to your generosity, the P&C Fundraising grand total for 2015 was a fantastic $244,730! This includes Voluntary Contributions, Uniform Shop income and $91,000 through the Neverland Ball. Well done and thank you to everyone involved! During the final P&C Meeting of the year last week, Mr Shuster gave a detailed overview of how the cash was spent and observed that “[the money] was very much appreciated and we believe it’s been put to very good use.”In addition to underpinning our school science and music programs, your children are benefiting from:

• $30,000 on Learning Support Programs, which have delivered significant benefits in the classroom to children with special needs

• $39,000 on Literacy programs across the school, including new home and classroom readers for the younger grades, and digital literacy resources and novels for the older years

• $20,000 on Technology such as iPads and a sync trolley (to synchronise and recharge electronic devices) for Kindergarten, and excitingly, 20 robots

for Stage 3 students, used to illustrate computer coding! With the $10,000 remaining allocation Mr Shuster plans to purchase further iPads for Kindy and more one-to-one devices for Stage 3 students, so they can further develop the technology skills so beautifully shown during Bayfest last week.

The Fundraising and Events team wishes you all a happy, relaxing holiday season and a joyful start to 2016. Check out the updated Fundraising and Events page on the school website for a sneak peek at what we have planned for next year! http://www.neutralbay-p.schools.nsw.edu.au/fundraising

The Uniform Shop is open every Tuesday (8.30-9.30am). Flexischools orders are being sent out daily - occasionally delays may occur. If you still haven't received your order within 2 days of the expected delivery date, please email me and I will chase it up.

Interested in Volunteering?I am always on the look out for volunteers to help out in the uniform shop - either on Tuesdays (instore) or any school day for packing Flexischools orders. It's a pretty quick and easy task to do the Flexischools orders once you get the hang of it. If this is something you'd be interested in doing in 2016, please drop me an email!

For now, any orders that come through with ADMIN as the class will be set

aside and sent to the school office for collection. I will email you when they are ready for collection. The school office is open 8.45am-3.15pm Monday to Friday.

Closure DatesThe Uniform Shop will open for the last time this year on Tuesday 8th December - it will be closed on Tuesday 15th December. The last day for Flexischools deliveries will be Wednesday 9th December. That means your order must be
