    Adventurer Fun Day

On Sunday, March 8th, our Adventurer Club had the opportunity to go toCamp Down at Windermere, FL for their Adventurer Fun Day.

This years theme was Creation, and our Adventures had the chance tolearn about different insects and nature while they visited other Adven-

    turer Club booths.

Our Club had their own booth and their theme was Ants. One of ourown Adventurers (Justin Rivera) created this honor four years ago.

    In the Presence of Jehovah

Christ left us in such a way that His pres-

ence might be more useful to us a pres-

ence that had been confined in a humble

abode of flesh so long as He sojourned on

earth .... As His body was raised up above

all the heavens, so His power and energywere diffused and spread beyond all the

    bounds of heaven and earth.

Come into His presence and enjoy our an-

    nual and very

    uplifting Easter

If the world hates you, you

know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of theworld, the world would love its own. Yet because you are

not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore

the world hates you...If they persecuted Me, they will perse-

cute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.

But all these things they will do to you for My names sake,

because they do not know Him who sent Me. John 13:19-

    21

Isnt it true that in todays world at the slightest offense we

are ready to retaliate, defend ourselves,...yes, fight back?

But at the greatest moment of His agony, Jesus sincerely

prayed, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they

    do. (Luke 23:34)

Forgive them What an amazing prayer!! How would

we react? What would be say?

What if someone pressed a crown of sharp thorns on your

head? Or stripped you naked for all the world to see? Or

brutally punched you in the face? Or drove spikes into your

wrist and ankles? Or lifted you up on the cross to hang anddie? What kind of prayer would you pray? Or would you

even think of praying at all?

May the Lord, who suffered for each one of us, help us when

    were tempted to retaliate!

Yours for allowing the mind of Christ be in us, Pastor and

    Sharon Webb.

Who is the image of the invisible GOD,

the first born of every creature (Colossians1:15)

    We see love everyday

As it takes on different faces

And is seen in different places

We catch the affects of its action

    Hinting toward the cause

That can not properly be explained as just

    a feeling or an act

It manifests itself in us all from time to

    time

Though many are deceived to its true

    meaning

because of our own inconsistencies and

inabilities to illustrate it in all situations

Love seems to have no clear face on this

    earth...

We question the meaning of this four letterword

    Love is..

    Kind

    Gentle

    Not self seeking

    At times we exude this

But our faces have two sides

Yet the side that is dead must die

Like glimpses of an image we have seen

    before

We long to put together the pieces

    To make a complete whole

Who is the image of this invisible word?

What is the image of Love?

    In action

We have heard the stories of long agoWe have heard of a GOD that chose a

    nation

And cared for them, setting them on high

We have read HIS words that we believe

    through faith

Of how this GOD chose to deliver a peo-

ple...all people out of the bondage of sinAnd HIS word was made flesh and dwelt

    among us...

HE chose to send HIS own son...in whom

we have redemption through HIS blood,

    even the forgiveness of sin

    GOD came in human form

To die for our sins before the foundation

    of the world was laid...

    ...because HE loves us

Through actions GOD has shown time and

    time again

    Through testimonies HE has proved

Through the joy HE has planted in our

    hearts HE has shown

    That HE loves us...

    GOD IS LOVE

With whom is no variableness, neither

    shadow of turning (James 1:17)

He sent HIS son that we might see the

    ultimate manifestation of love

Through Christ we behold the image of the

    invisible GOD

Through Christ we will one day behold

    On that bright

    Getting-up morning

    Love becomes visible

And we will behold love ...face to face

    No longer as an action

No longer our hidden foundation by which

    we are planted

    But soon face to face

A day when our foundation will be fully

    revealed

A day when all will know how firm we

    stand

    WE WILL SEE GOD

Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall

    see GOD... (Matthew 5:8)

We will see GodBy: Nichole Taylor

    THE SECOND DEATH!Gary D. Grimes

    1. Does the Bible mention the second death? Revelation 20:6

Romans 6:23 The wages of sin is death.

    2. What are the differences between the first death and the second death?

We are all subject to the first death. Only the wicked are subject to the

    second death.

The first death is a temporary death (sleep) caused by sin. The seconddeath is a permanent death caused by sin.

    3. All who die in the first death will be resurrected. The saved in the resur-

rection of life. The wicked to the resurrection of condemnation. John 5:28 &

    29

God warned Adam that if he ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and

evil Adam would surely die. Genesis 2:16 & 17

Adam would die both the first death and the second death. Jesus said the devil is a liar from the beginning. John 8:44

Satans first lie on earth was to Eve. He told her You will not surely die.Genesis 3:1-5

    4. Why didnt Adam and Eve die immediately? Revelation 13:8 , theLamb slain from the foundation of the world. Two methods of execution in

Israel: Stoning or crucifixion.StoningLeviticus 24:16. Hope while dying.

CrucifixionDeuteronomy 21:22 & 23. No hopeaccursed of God.

    Second death. No resurrection.

Christ died the second death in our place. Isaiah 53:4

On the cross Christ was made a curse for usthe curse of sin. Galatians3:13

Because of Jesus dying the second death for us we are now His children,

we are His sons and daughters. I John 3:1

    Gods Creation and Satans Creation

God created broccoli, cauliflower and spinach, green and yellowand red vegetables of all kinds so Man and Woman would live long

and healthy lives. He said: Try my green salad!. And Satan presented Thousand-Island Dressing, buttery crou-

tons and garlic toast on the side. And Man and Woman unfastened

    their belts following the repast.

God then said, I have sent you heart healthy vegetables and oliveoil in which to cook them.

And Satan brought forth deep fried fish and chicken-friedsteak so big it needed its own platter. And Man gained more weight

and his cholesterol went through the roof.

God then created a light, fluffy white cake, named it Angel FoodCake, Satan then created chocolate cake and named it DevilsFood.

God then brought fourth running shoes so that His children mightlose those extra pounds.

And Satan gave cable TV with a remote control. Man andWoman laughed and cried before the flickering blue light and gained

    pounds.

God then gave lean beef so that Man might consume fewer calo-ries and still satisfy his appetite.

Then Satan created McDonalds and its 99-cent doublecheeseburger. Then said, You want fries with that? And Man re-

plied, Yes! And super size them! And Satan said, It is good. And

    Man went into cardiac arrest.

God sighed and created quadruple bypass surgery. Then Satan created HMOs.

    Surely he hath

    borne our grief's

    and carried our

    sorrows: yet we

did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God

and afflicted. But He was wounded for

An Extra Pair of HandsBy Alex Ortiz

Big projects are always done quickly and

better if we have an extra pair of hands to

help us. Just imagine if you have to put

together a puzzle of 1000 pieces, of course

it would be nice to have a few extra hands

    helping you.

Our hands are very sophisticated tools that can be used to do great

things. A lot of hands were used as tool to put together the greatestbook of all times, The Bible. God used all those hands to help us

know Him better. Also, the same God that gave us our hands is al-

ways extending His to help us in our lives.

God commended us with a great project: to tell every human being in

this world about His son and His love. God is asking us for our

hands. His son already extended them for us, are you willing to ex-

    tend yours for Him?

This is a little story about four people: Everybody, Somebody,Anybody, and Nobody.

There was an important job to be done, and Everybody wassure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it,but Nobody did it.

    From the Editors

    I remember as growing

    up celebrating Holy

    Week. One of many

    traditions in my family.

    It meant new clothes for

    Sunday, a special diet,

    no TV, even having fun

    was kind of controlled,

    it was as if someone

    died in our family. But

at that time I had noidea why, I dont even

    remember ever visiting

    the church during that

    week. I just remember a

    big sensation of sad-

    ness

    During the month of

    April we will be

    celebrating Holy

    Week, but what exactly

    are we celebrating?

Now as an adult I can

    see that its more than

    new clothes and mean-

    ingless traditions. For

    me its special days

    of reflection and

    meditation about the

    life of Jesus and my

    life.

    I still feel the sensa-

    tion of sadness but

    now I understand

why, but I also feel a

    sensation of happi-

    ness because my

    God is alive. He

    died for us, because

    He loves us so

    much. Oh, but my

    God resurrected, and

    He promised us that

    He will come again

    to take us home.

    God be with you,

and let us all use thistime to meditate in

    His great love and

    sacrifice!
