Volume 2: University(BROUGHT TO YOU BY MINIMALISM)

The last chapter of this legacy was fairly irritating to write on that fancy background, so I’m going to stick to the basic black-and-white from here on out.

So here’s where we’re at: the university expansion pack is “officially” installed so generation three will get to go to college. Taylor Legacy, the first born of generation two, is the heir and got a career in law enforcement after he had a mental breakdown. That “never go to college” fear is a pain in the butt.

STEP ONE: GIVE THE HEIR A UNIVERSITY INSPIRED MAKE-OVER

STEP TWO: DEMONSTRATE THE CHAOS OF LEGACY LIFE IN A SMALL, HARD TO VIEW IMAGEI think I took this because I was planning on taking away their piano. They kept waking up whoever slept in the newest room every night.

STEP NINE: HAVE FIRST KISS WITH MAID

STEP TEN: MOVE IN NEXT SPOUSEKaylynn moved in with $1000 and her stats are 1/7/2/2/7. She is a family sim who wants 6 grandkids. That can, and likely will, be done because of my need for the generation four heir to be a pleasure sim

STEP ELEVEN: GIVE THE NEW SPOUSE A MAKEOVER

STEP TWELVE: FALL IN LOVE, GET ENGAGED

STEP THIRTEEN: GET MARRIED, Y’ALL!Just for context within my game timeline, Kaylynn didn’t move in until Taylor was 6 days into adulthood. I waited a few days before caving and hiring a maid.

STEP FOURTEEN: MAKE THE FIRST-BORNTaylor wants to graduate three kids from college, so this is going to be the first of three children.

STEP FIFTEEN: ENJOY PREGNANCY CRAVINGS

STEP SIXTEEN: ENTER FIRST TRIMESTER

STEP SEVENTEEN: ENTER SECOND TRIMESTERAlso for context, Joe kept starting fights with Kaylynn. I guess he didn’t like being sidelined by a new spouse.

STEP EIGHTEEN: GIVE BIRTHMeet the first of the three g3 kids: Patrick Legacy. 4/9/9/3/7. Fairly similar to his father. Even has the brown hair and custom eyes.

STEP NINETEEN: MAKE ANOTHER BABYI actually had to turn on boolprop after a couple days of them woohooing because the lullaby never happened. Plus time was ticking. At least I didn’t cheat the needs.

STEP TWENTY-FIVE: LOSE FOUNDER FOREVERSo Veronica Legacy died at the age of 75 days. I won’t say she was my favourite Legacy founder ever, but she did the job. She was by far the hardest founder to play because I haven’t been cheating needs.She died in the green and left a regular grave.

STEP TWENTY-SIX: HAVE G3 ENTER CHILDHOOD

STEP TWENTY-SEVEN: GIVE CHILD A NICER LOOKSo I can’t tell whether or not his face is a clone of his father’s, but he is a nice looking kid. I would prefer to have a female heir this generation because I fear it being all boys. That would just suck.

STEP TWENTY-EIGHT: GO INTO LABOUR

STEP TWENTY-NINE: GIVE BIRTH TO A GIRLMeet Renee Legacy. 4/9/9/3/10. Nicer than her brother, but still with all of her dad’s features. Damnit. We may have a girl but she may be a clone!

STEP THIRTY-FIVE: HAUNT THE LIVING; MAKE THEM PEE

STEP THIRTY-SIX: HAVE FIRST SPOUSE DIEBye Joe. You were kind of an ass in the end, but you managed 74 days on sim earth. Yes, he was significantly younger than Veronica. I hope to close that gap during generation four.

STEP THIRTY-SEVEN: PREPARE FOR FINAL CHILD

STEP THIRTY-EIGHT: ANOTHER GIRLMeet Andrea Legacy. 9/10/9/3/4. Based on personality alone, she is quite different from the other two. She may just be the heir I need.

STEP THIRTY-NINE: GROW UP FIRST GIRLYeah, Renee looks a lot like her dad. I may just stick with Andrea.

STEP FORTY: TODDLER ANDREAShe is… her eyes are different from the rest of the family, which may look better in the future.

STEP FORTY-ONE: TEEN PATRICKPatrick rolled a six, so I picked knowledge for him. If this were a generation later, he would be my heir since he would be a pleasure sim. He wants to be a criminal mastermind (man, the game is really gunning for me to reach that LTW), but that won’t happen since he’s a spare.

STEP FORTY-FOUR: CHILD ANDREAShe is growing into her eyes, which is a good sign. Also, duckie jammies!

STEP FORTY-SIX: TEEN RENEEShe rolled popularity and wants to be captain hero. While she looks good in some photos, she ended up the one with weird eyes compared to her younger sister. She isn’t even the spare, she is the college placeholder.

STEP FORTY-SEVEN: REMIND EVERYONE THAT MILD WEALTH DOES NOT MEAN MOTIVE DEPRIVATION IS A THING OF THE PAST

STEP FORTY-EIGHT: HAVE G2 HEIR REACH ELDERHOODTaylor could only get so far in his career and retired as a lieutenant. It was hard keeping up friendships when Kaylynn knew no one.

STEP FORTY-NINE: POISON YOURSELF WITH EXPIRED FOOD

STEP FIFTY: ANDREA REACHES TEENAGE YEARSShe rolled a one so she is a fortune sim who wants to earn $100000. What an easy heir.

STEP FIFTY-ONE: SEND EVERYONE TO COLLEGE

STEP FIFTY-TWO: BE THANKFUL ANDREA IS HEIRShe isn’t uglacy material, but Renee is probably not the best choice to carry on a legacy.

STEP FIFTY-FOUR: DESIGN PRE-GREEK HOUSEYeah… they could only afford one bed those first two semesters

STEP FIFTY-FIVE: DESPISE KICKY BALLIT DRAINS THEIR FRACKING ENERGY SO QUICKLY!

STEP FIFTY-SIX: LIKE THE FOUNDER X3 + EVIL MASCOT

STEP FIFTY-SEVEN: WAIT FOR THEM ALL TO PASS OUT

STEP FIFTY-EIGHT: QUESTION COLLEGE TOWNIE TASTE

STEP FIFTY-NINE: SELL STOVE FOR COMFORT

STEP SIXTY: MANAGE TO GET OKAY GRADES

STEP SIXTY-ONE: CONTINUE TO GET DECENT GRADES WHILE NEEDS SLOWLY TAKE A BACK BURNER FOR SKILLS

STEP SIXTY-TWO: GIVE HALF-DECENT MAKEOVER TO THE ONE WHO IS STAYING

STEP SIXTY-THREE: SWEAR THAT THE HEIR DOES LOOK BETTERSeriously, her eyes just look more correct to me… sorry bout it

STEP SIXTY-FOUR: HAVE A SHELL OF A HOUSE

STEP SIXTY-FIVE: CONTINUE UPGRADES

STEP SIXTY-SIX: EVERYONE GRADUATESExcept for Renee. She missed most of her exam because she was in a bad mood and ended up failing the semester.

STEP SIXTY-SEVEN: SEND HEIR BACK HOME

STEP SIXTY-EIGHT: HEY A SOCIAL BUNNY!

STEP SIXTY-NINE: GRADUATE THE PLACEHOLDERShe will eventually escape all of this… one day

STEP SEVENTY: SEND THE HEIR HOME TO BEGIN G4

So that’s how generation three went down. Taylor got to complete his LTW; a girl was selected as heir; I installed Nightlife.

I was worried a bit for myself today. It took me forever to install Nightlife because it apparently needed to be connected to the internet. This is the only device in my house that has Windows 7, so I need to use it for the Sims 2. If Nightlife didn’t install, I had no idea how I would move forward. I want this Legacy to be completed because it means a lot to me to get it done right.

The best part about Nightlife is that Andrea will be able to work while pregnant because of the cars. That, and the matchmaker. That’ll make things easier going forward.
