News this week…
I had a tremendous response after my request
for parent surveys! Thank you very much!
I have almost half of our parents now, who
have submitted their thoughts and feelings to
me. Your feedback and comments are a great
source of information!
All staff have been spending some time over
the last few weeks preparing their Harvester
pages for this year’s magazine. Mrs Mason is
currently compiling the pages to have the
finished product for sale at the end of the
year.
Intensive swimming has almost finished
its first week! All of our instructors have been
doing a fantastic job and the kids love it! The
senior students of each session are being put
through their paces completing some
additional fitness training too! Intensive
Swimming will continue next week with the
last day being on Friday the 4th of December.
Upcoming events for next week:
Some of our Year 8 students will be off to
Sydney with Miss Imrie to complete the
Beyond the Gate excursion in Sydney with the
crew from UNSW’s Aspire Program.
We have a Breakfast Club Quality
Inspection on Wednesday. It will still run
as normal.
Nicola Schneller, our school counsellor
will be visiting next Friday. If you would like
your child to see Nicola, please contact either
myself or the front office.
See you soon!

improving in leaps and bounds. Next week

sessions. Students who went before lunch this week
will go after lunch next week and vice versa. Please
ensure your child comes with a towel each day, as
some students are forgetting to bring one.
Reward Day
Reward Day notes have gone home with those
students eligible to attend. Years 3-12 will head to
Lake Talbot Aquatic Park while Kinder -Year 2 will
stay at school for a fun day with exciting activities
planned. Please ensure notes are returned by
tomorrow so numbers can be finalised.
Thank You
Yesterday afternoon Nancy’s bus was unable to run
due to the fire near the bus route. Thank you to
those parents and community members who were
able to help out by picking students up from school.
The great thing about living in a small community is
watching people band together to help each other
out.
P&C NEWS
The P&C has been able to bank a
generous cheque from the Potter
family for the wedding catering
which will benefit the UCS
students within their learning
environment. We were able to
make a donation to the Hospitality
– Kitchen Operations area in
recognition of Mrs. Noble and the
students involvement and
contribution to this fundraiser,
which will help buy useful
equipment and resources. Once
again, many thanks to all who
were involved!

Ungarie Memorial Hall Meeting
Monday 7th
December
7pm, at the Hall
Last weekend, the final of the ‘A grade’ singles
was played with Tony Carr taking on Jeff
deRozario. Jeff got off to a good start but Tony
managed to peg him back and the next few ends
were neck and neck with only a few shots
difference. The closing ends saw Tony a few
shots ahead and needed one shot for the win,
but Jeff was not going to be outdone and picked
up four shots and the game in the last end.
Well done gents, it was a good game played with
the right spirit.

Ungarie Quilters News Our group meets every Sunday at the C.W.A Rooms. One day a month we do charity work, we have donated to various charities. As charity begins at home we have just delivered four quilts to four very deserving ladies of our community. We would like to thank Graham Culbert who has taken and donated photos for us to make a 2016 Calendar featuring local identities, thing’s new & old, to help us raise funds to continue our rewarding work. See Ben or Rachel at the Central Hotel or a member of the Ungarie Quilters. At $25.00 they’d make a perfect Christmas present. We would like to thank the general public who support us through raffle tickets at the Central Hotel. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a safe & happy New Year.
