the influence of human activity on the environment
TRANSCRIPT
This increase in population size leads to an increase in pollution and higher demand for the world’s resources
More population consumes more goods and hence more goods of daily needs are required to feed the growing population.
Carbon dioxide traps heat in the atmosphere and causes the temperature of the earth to rise.
This leads to disruption of the weather patterns ex drought, floods
They also causes pollution.
Acid rain damages trees and pollutes rivers and lakes.
It also damages monuments like Taj Mahal
Monuments like Taj Mahal are getting eroded by the acid rain.
In may countries people are chopping down forests to provide timber or space for agriculture for the growing population.
1. Burning the timber increases the level of carbon dioxide in the air
2. Less trees means less carbon dioxide absorbed for photosynthesis
3. Soil is eroded as it is exposed to the wind and rain
4. Less water is transpired into the atmosphere
5. Many animal and plant habitats are destroyed causing extinction of species
When greenhouse gases absorb heat radiations reflected by the sun, they increase the temperature of the earth which is known as global warming.
Due to the increase in pollution, various harmful gases are released. These gases act as a blanket and covers the whole planet, thus making it warm.
When trees are cut carbon dioxide does not get absorbed and causes global warming.
Polar ice is melting. Sea level is
increasing. Due to temperature
increase, wildlife and ecological balance gets affected.
Forests also catches fire.
More and more trees should be planted.
Govt should make policies to keep a check on carbon dioxide emisssions.
Pollution should be reduced.
Reduce, reuse and recycle should be the motto of life.
Pollution is the introduction of contaminants into the natural environment that cause adverse change.
Air pollution Water pollution Noise pollution Chemical pollution Land pollution Light pollution
Smoke and pollutants which are released by factories and industries in air.
Release of chemicals and pollutants in water.
Insecticides and pesticides also causes pollution.
It causes global warming.
It affects the health of the citizens.
It brings a change in ecological environment.
Many animals are extinct.
Wildlife gets disturbed. Many animals are
endangered and need conservation.
Energy should be saved. Reduce reuse recycle should be the
motto of life. Govt should keep a check on industries
causing pollution.
Conserve our rapidly diminishing fossil fuel reserves by using solar power or wind power.
It will not only save resources but also reduce pollution and will help in reducing global warming.
Wildlife sancturies should be established to conserve wildlife.
Hunting must be banned. Animals in national parks
should be checked periodically.
we have to conserve wildlife because without wildlife and plants, humans cannot live in this planet.
