The History

• May, 1998, IAQ agrees to seek collaboration with ASQ

• August, 1998, D.Luther to Ron Kingen proposes an alliance between ASQ and IAQ.

• The proposal has two parts, one administrative, and one collaborative.

The Concept The Administrative Part:

– ASQ to become IAQ’s administrative

headquarters.

– ASQ provides a mailing address.

– ASQ collects dues, pays bills.

– ASQ Press publishes the BOQ.

– ASQ provides for meeting minutes.

– ASQ provides an archival service.

– IAQ will pay a minimal fee for the

services.

The Progress…so Far• February 1999 - ASQ Board accepts

the collaboration.

• April 1999 - Legal council hired.

• May 1999 - IAQ passes resolutions.

• August 1999 - Tax application submitted.

• December 1999 - Application approved.

• On-going – Michael O’Donoghue and Linda Zysko , from the ASQ , manage the IAQ administrative headquarter.
