THE MAKING OF A SCHOLARMorehouse oers an outstanding academic experience – with a top-rated liberal arts curriculum, led by world-class faculty, and oering 21st-century programs, such as:

• Chinese Studies, to prepare students for the new global economy

• Cinema, Television and Emerging Media, to produce works that broaden views of African American life

• Journalism and Sports, to address the low percentage of black sports reporters and editors

• The Ray Charles Performing Arts Center, providing a state-of-the-art music facility and education

A Rea l -Wor ld Educat ionMorehouse students learn by doing. They regularly meet and gain advice from industry leaders. They participate in hands-on internships. They study abroad in every corner of the world. And more than 80 percent volunteer in the community.

THE MAKING OF A LEGACYMartin Luther King Jr., civil rights leader. Maynard Jackson, first African American mayor of Atlanta. Spike Lee, acclaimed lm director. Jamal Simmons, CBS News political analyst. Canton Jones, gospel artist. Bakari T. Sellers, state representative at the age of 22. These Morehouse Men and many others have created an impressive legacy – one that will inspire the leader in you.

From Here to AnywhereMorehouse consistently has 10 to 15 graduates enrolled at the Harvard Business School. Typically, 30 to 35 Morehouse students gain acceptance to medical school each year. And Morehouse Men are highly sought aer by Fortune 500 companies and leading organizations worldwide.

THE MAKING OF A LEADERLeadership is in the DNA of the men of Morehouse. Our students lead international relief efforts. They step out in local, state and national political campaigns. They serve on our College’s Board of Trustees. And many pursue an academic minor in leadership.

Prepare to EngageThis is an active campus where students get involved. You might participate in the Student Government Association. You might write for the student newspaper, Maroon Tiger. You might sing with the internationally acclaimed Glee Club. Or, quite possibly, you might do them all.

Welcome to the BrotherhoodAt New Student Orientation, when hundreds of freshmen march into King Chapel for the rst time, there is, among these talented, highly motivated young black men, a shared ambition, a common purpose, a sense of brotherhood unlike any other in the world.
