OUT & ABOUT THANK YOU, THANK YOU: To Jack Swithenbank and Karen Fuchsbichler for feeding the cats and looking after the puppy when I was in hospital. CONGRATULATIONS!: To the sporting champions in our midst! Shaun Simpson, Avon Cricket Association Fairest and Best, and Liam Want, Runner-up Fairest and Best. The Quairading Cricket Club will be playing in the Preliminary Final at home, this Saturday 4th March. Get down and support them, a win will see them through to the big GF next weekend! Congrats also to Men’s Bowls Singles Champ Bill Fraser, taking victory over Jim Gimbel and to Ladies Bowls Singles Champ Gwen Hards, beating Bertha Holbrook. ST JOHN AMBULANCE MEMBERSHIP DRIVE: Qdg Sub-Centre volunteers will be located in the Qdg Co-op during the week of 7th - 10th March to receive membership payments and answer any membership or volunteer enquiries. BUSINESS AFTER HOURS AT AG IMPLEMENTS: Thursday 9th March from 5:30pm. RSVP to the CRC on 9645 0096. All types of ‘businesses’ welcome, that includes farmers! HACC CENTRE BASED DAY CENTRE: Centre Base Day Centre commences again on March 9th and will be thereafter on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month. On the 2nd Thursday we will have an out of town outing going to various restaurants, cafes and places of interest etc museums. Sometimes just for a good shop. The 4th Thursdays will be held at the CRC with various activities, games, the odd movie day with lunch provided, give us your suggestions and ideas, we are always looking for new things to do. Anyone who has been assessed for HACC can attend on these days and we look forward to new people joining us. EASTER COMPETITION AT THE Q LIBRARY: Please create/make an Easter Bunny for us out of any materials. For example paper plates, foam cups, cardboard, anything you can think of. All entries receive a small prize, with the winning entries receiving a bigger prize. Ages - 0-5, 6-10, 11 on wards. Entries are open from March 20th and close April 11th.
