The grounds are looking fabulous and it promises to be a sunny day. Events begin at 9:30am and conclude around 2pm. Come down and support our very own Quairading competitors and join in the wonderful atmosphere that is a spring carnival! CAR PARK MARKETS The car park markets are on this Saturday, 21 September from 7:30am. Devonshire teas and coffee will be available from the Old Railway Station. Come for a peruse or hold a stall yourself for just $5. OLIVE FARM TOURS & TASTINGS Been wondering about those olive trees near Quairading's own Toapin Weir? We would like to invite all to come and experience our olive grove on a tour and tasting session this Saturday (21st) at either 10:30am or 2pm, or next Sunday (29th Sept) at 2pm. Watch and have the chance to harvest an olive tree, pruning demos, delicious extra virgin olive oil tastings and even food pairings with EVOO! $15pp, all welcome. Please contact the Quairading CRC ASAP to book your spot and to receive all of the required paperwork to be completed prior to the course. Please note there is a separate fee ($205) that must be paid directly to Main Roads after the completion of this training. COMMUNITY MURAL Friday 4 October. LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS There are 6 candidates standing for 5 positions on Council. ‘In person’ early voting is now available at the Shire Administration Centre during normal office hours. Early voting closes at 4pm Friday 18 October 2019. Applications for a postal vote are also available by contacting the shire administration staff. Applications must be submitted by 4pm Tuesday 15 October 2019, however, it is recommended that postal voting applications be made well before this date to enable the application to be processed and postal voting packages to be sent out by mail. Voting in person can be done on Election Day, Saturday 19 October from 8am to 6pm (sharp), at the Shire Administration Centre. The election count will be held in the council chambers shortly after the close of the polls. Make your vote count! QUAIRADING QUICK SHEAR We are delighted and honoured to be asked by Lou Brown, to present the World Record Certificate to him at our event at the Quairading

Ag Show on Saturday 12 October. Lou gained this record by shearing 467 Merino Ewes in 8 hours on 27 April 2019 in Kojonup. GOLF CLUB WARNING Residents please be aware the golf club is part of a nature reserve and unleashed dogs are not permitted on the course. 1080 baits are often used in the area and are fatal to dogs. The Hadlow ladies Maggie and Chris had a fantastic day out with 42 & 41 pts respectively. Novelty winners were Anne, Maggie & Chris well done everyone! Ladies Closing Day is sadly next Wednesday, names in by 11:30am for a fun afternoon.
