OUT & ABOUT THANKYOU: We would like to thank the whole community for their support over the past 12 months as we celebrated our first year in Quairading on the 7th of November. It has been a whirlwind of a year, and honestly can’t believe it has come around so quick. We feel very grateful to everyone in town that has expressed their support and assistance in one way or another, and particularly we would like to thank Peta West and Jacqui Sandercock for their warmest welcome and continued support from the day our feet hit the ground running. Without these lovely ladies it would have been a much more challenging journey so far, so thank you. We are looking forward to many more years serving, as well as being part of, the Quairading community. Luke, Kelly, Bodhi + baby bump on the way! SNAKE SEASON HAS ARRIVED: Please be on guard in and around your homes and gardens as there have been very large snakes spotted around town. PROHIBITED BURNING PERIOD: Prohibited Burning Season has started as of the 1st November 2017, no burning can be undertaken during this period. FRIDAY NIGHTS AT GOLDEN GRAIN CAFÉ: Buffet Dinner of assorted meals and sweets. $25 dine in (all you can eat!) or $13 take away. Every Friday night from 5:30pm. Bookings essential, call 9645 1440. CATHOLIC PARISH CAKE STALL: Saturday morning 11th November. Raffle tickets on sale in Co–op during week of 11th. Any manner of help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you! REMEMBRANCE DAY 2017: A Remembrance Day service will take place at the shire memorial at 11:00am Saturday 11th November. The 100th anniversary of the battle of Beersheba and the 75th anniversary of Kokoda in particular will be remembered. At the completion of the service morning tea will be at the Golden Grain Café. QUAIRADING CLUB: All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy (or anyone else for that matter!) so give yourself a break from harvest and come in for a drink, a dance, some Mexican food and a catch up to see how everyone else’s harvest is going. Kitchen open from 5:30pm band starts at 8:00pm. KJ’S AT THE CLUB: Mexican Smorgasboard, Saturday the 11th of November. Closed Saturday 18th of November, sorry for any inconvenience. We also hold a special comp for the Under 9 year olds with modified rules to help our little ones love tennis.
