All local clubs are encouraged to take advantage of their FREE page with their CRC Membership to spread the word on all the wonderful things you’re doing. CRC staff are happy to help you write an article and put it together with any recent photos you have of your club activities. COMMUNITY CLEAN UP WEEKEND: Quairading has once again been nominated in the Keep Australia Beautiful Council’s Tidy Town Awards for 2017. The judges will be visiting us on the morning of Monday 24th July. If you can find some time over the weekend to tidy your verges and pick up any general litter you see around town or on roads throughout the Shire you can congratulate yourself on actively contributing to our tidy town. If you’d like to know more about the competition, get in touch with the Quairading CRC. CRC FOOTY TIPPING: Winner for Round 17 was “AC” with 8 correct tips. There’s now three tippers tied for the top spot on the tippers ladder! FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITY: Would any local clubs be interested in hosting the Sandgropers Caravan Club for an afternoon tea and paddock bonfire, or perhaps catering an afternoon tea at Toapin Weir (weather pending!) on Saturday 29th July? fortnightly Fridays from 9:30am—10:30am at the Quairading CRC. Friday 28th July, Friday 11th August, Friday 25th September, Friday 8th September. Bring your babies and toddlers for these engaging and interactive groove sessions. QUAIRADING FARMERS CO-OP: Nominations are called for Directors of the Quairading Farmers Co-op. Mr Bond and Mr Langsford are due to retire with Mr Bond renominating for another term. Nomination forms are available at the Co-op Office and close at 5.00pm 28th July, 2017. LITTLE RAINMAKERS: The Child Care Centre will be returning to operating 3 days per week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays). The last day of operating on Fridays will be 28th July 2017. CURTAIN RAISERS CATERING: Curtain Raisers are looking for groups or individuals who are interested in serving, catering or tending bar, for one or all of the Curtain Raisers performance dates this year. The Committee needs to fill the catering position for all dates and will make decisions on selecting a caterer or caterers, serving staff and bar staff after expressions of interest have been received. Number per show: 192 patrons + cast = total of 230 meals maximum per evening. MOVIE ARVO AT THE CRC: Thursday 3rd August at 2pm, screening “Snowden” (2016) starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Shailene Woodley. Movie summary: The NSA’s illegal surveillance techniques are leaked to the public by one of the agency’s employees, Edward Snowden, in the form of thousands of classified documents distributed to the press. CURTAIN RAISERS REHEARSALS: Begin Thursday 3rd August at 7pm (sharp) at the Town Hall. Rehearsals will be held every Monday and Thursday thereafter until the performances on Friday 20th, Saturday 21st, Friday 27th and Saturday 28th October. If you did not attend the Cast Interest Meeting on Wednesday 19th July, please email your name to bubblegums@westnet.com.au ADOBE LIGHTROOM WORKSHOP: Quairading Photo Cub has organised Photography Professional Nick Melidonis to run a One Day hands on session on Adobe Lightroom. Participants need no experience in Lightroom, and by the end of the day, will be confident in enhancing images. August 12th or 13th. Cost $250. BUILDING WELLBEING WORKSHOP: At 1.00 pm – 4.00 pm on Sunday 13th August, three speakers are running a Building Wellbeing Workshop at the CRC Arts Centre. Danielle Mottram of The Green Gekko will be speaking about her interesting health journey

and why she started up her business promoting toxic free products. Jean Stasse (nee Pannell) and Alain Stasse of Sweetwater Essentials will also explain their experiences that have led them to decide to turn to natural solutions for their health needs. HR, HC & MC TRUCK DRIVER TRAINING: Daniel from Busselton Advanced Driver Training will be in Quairading again from Monday 11th – Friday 15th September 2017. DOCTOR’S SURGERY (SCRIPTS WITHOUT AN APPT): It is vital for your health to keep track of your prescriptions. If you run out of scripts or your medication and the Doctor’s diary is fully booked a charge of $10.00 will now apply. This fee applies to everyone. THE CWA SECOND HAND CLOTHING STORE: is doing well and we are in need of more donations of good quality clothing and items for consignment our commission on consignment items is only 10%. We are now only opening on Saturday mornings between 10.30am to 1.30pm at this stage. Do pop in and check out our items that are excellent quality and very reasonably priced. This will be the first meeting after State Conference so members who have a Constitution please bring this to the meeting as there may be changes for you to note. Merredin Carnival will on Sunday 13th August for our players in years 7 and below.
