The Revival Of Caliphate

The Revival of Caliphate

Dubbed as the „Friends‟ of Libya conference in Paris, brought leaders of the western nations, together

to discuss prospects in Libya. These are the same western leaders who few months back had stood

with Gaddafi‟s dictatorship and had business deals with him to secure their oil needs. However, thewestern leaders quickly changed sides, once they saw the fall of their notorious-tyrant was inevitable.

Muslim lands have seen the plots to plunder their lands and resources many a times before being

drafted by western leaders sitting and meeting in the comfort of their own countries. In 1916, the

Sykes–Picot Agreement between UK and France, was made to break apart the Caliphate into regions of

British and French influence. These western nations then pursued ambitiously to install their own

puppets and systems over these areas. The end of Caliphate, marked with a start of decades of rules

by Tyrants, who were hand-in-hand in safeguarding the interests of the western leaders who had

brought them to power.

Today, as the masses have stood up against the designs of the imperialists, by overthrowing the

tyrants the Western leaders are seen again scrambling to ensure continuation of their hegemony and

interests in the region.

The people of Libya in general must realize that the western leaders who stood with Gaddafi for years,

are now pretending to be „friends‟ of people of Libya.

These western leaders have failed in their own stated objectives of exporting democracy, bringing

justice, stability and economic prosperity in Iraq and Afghanistan, and therefore certainly cannot be

expected to succeed in a third venture, in Libya. The people of Libya should look to an alternative that

stems from their own Islamic ideology, i.e. Caliphate, and not a foreign imperial construct.

Establishment of a Caliphate, can make Libya stand on its own feet, and subsequently initiate

convergence of the „state-lets‟ such as Tunisia, Libya, Algeria, Egypt into one super state. The revival

of a Caliphate, will undo the nefarious designs of the imperialists that started with Sykes-Picot

agreement, and will prevent any new designs of the western leaders from harming the interests of thepeople of Libya.

The Revival Of Caliphate

Salamah Ibn Dinar Advises the Khalifah

In 97 AH, Khalifah Sulaiman ibn Abdul Malik came to Medina onthe way to Makkah for Hajj.

He asked for Salamah ibn Dinar (Abu Hazim), Qadi of Medina.

After asking many questions about the deen, the Khalifah said,"Pray for me, O Abu Hazim."

So Abu Hazim prayed, "O Allah, if your servant Sulaiman is from your awliyaa', then he make

easy for him the goodness of the world and the Hereafter ... And if he is one your enemies, then straighten him and guide him to what you love and are pleased with."

So, someone among the audience there said, "How bad is what you said since you came to seethe Amir ul-Mo'mineen... You have made the Muslim Khalifah among the enemies of Allah, you have harmed him."

Abu Hazim said, "Indeed, evil is what you say, truly Allah has taken a covenant from theknowledgeable, that they always say kalimatul haq."

Allah says,

"And remember Allah took a covenant from the People of the Book, to make it known and clear to mankind, and

not to hide it" (Al-Imran, 3:187)

Then he turned to the Khalifah, and said, "O Amir ul-Mo'mineen, indeed the people before usfrom the previous nations were always in good and safety as long as their leaders came totheir scholars seeking that which is in them (knowledge / advice). Then they found some of

the ignorant people who study ilm, and they went to the leaders expecting to obtainsomething of the dunya, so the leaders did not need the scholars, so the become crushedand helpless, and fell from the regard of Allah.

If scholars distance themselves from what the leaders have (property), the leaders will love

to have their knowledge. However, they desired what was with the leaders, so they (theleaders) distanced themselves from their knowledge and underestimate them."

Khalifah said, "You're right ... give me more of your advice, O Abu Hazim. I never saw anyonewhose words are so wise as yours. "

He replied, "If you are from the people who take heed, then it is enough for you what I havealready said. But if you are not from among them, the it is not appropriate for me to beshooting arrows from a bow with no strings. "

Khalifah said, "I resolved that you will advise me, O Abu Hazim."

He replied, "Yes ... I will give you advice... Adhim Rabbak, and avoid Him seeing you whereHe has forbidden ... and Him not finding you where He has ordered you. "

“Text messages & E-mails force to”

“Forward this or else you will be sinning and such and suchwill happen to you”

( Recently it has become wide spread to receive an e-

mail or a text message that includes a du‟a or an

advice. It reads: “I ask you by Allah to forward it”, or

they might say: “if you forward it you will receive good

news”. What is the ruling on such messages? Will I be

sinful if I do not forward it? )

Praise be to Allaah.

Using modern means of communication such as mobile

phones and e-mail to spread advice, exhortations,

reminders and guidance is a good deed, because it is

possible to reach hundreds of people with one click of

the button. It is well known that the one who guides

others to do good is like the one who does it, and that

the one who calls others to guidance will have a

reward like that of those who follow him, as Muslim

(2674) narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and

blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever calls others to guidance will have a reward like that of

those who follow it, without that detracting from their reward in the slightest.”

And Muslim (1893) narrated from Abu Mas‟ood al-Ansaari (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the

Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The one who tells another

about something good is like the one who does it.”

If a Muslims writes some advice about the adhkaar for morning and evening, for example, and sends it

to a hundred people, and many of them follow his advice, then he will have a great reward for that.

Hence we should make use of these means of communication and raise the level of the messages that

are transmitted through them, so that they will be most effective and beneficial.

But unfortunately some people mix this good deed with a bad deed, which is a kind of lying and

falsehood, such as saying, “If you forward this, you will hear some good news”! This is a kind of

fortune-telling. There is no shar‟i evidence that the one who receives advice and passes it on to

another will hear good news, rather he may hear bad news, or good news, or he may not hear

anything at all.

The same applies to the one who says, “I am entrusting you with this to forward it and spread it, or

else you will be sinning if you do not do that,” or “Such and such will happen to the one who does not

forward it.” All of this is false and there is no basis for it. The one to whom it is sent does not have to

do anything and there is nothing to oblige him to forward it, and he is not sinning if he does not do

that. There is no basis for stating that someone is sinning without any proof from sharee’ah, and there is nobasis for speaking of the unseen future which no one knows except Allah.

Stating that reward or punishment will come as the result of actions done is something that must be

referred to Allaah. Whatever He has permitted is what is halaal, and whatever He has forbidden is what

is haraam, and reward and punishment are in His hand. Whoever says anything about that without

proof is lying. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Say (O Muhammad ص لى ا  ): „(But) the things that my Lord has indeed forbidden areو س لم ع ل يه  Al-Fawaahish (great evil sins and every kind of unlawful sexual intercourse) whether committed openly

or secretly, sins (of all kinds), unrighteous oppression, joining partners (in worship) with Allaah for

which He has given no authority, and saying things about Allaah of which you have no knowledge‟”

[al-A‟raaf 7:33]

These people think that they are making people spread good by encouraging and warning them, but

they are mistaken and they are overstepping the mark. They should limit themselves to that which is

mentioned in sharee‟ah, which is sufficient, praise be to Allaah, such as saying: “Whoever spreads this

good, there is the hope that he will have a reward like that of all those who act upon it.” That should

be sufficient to encourage people to spread it.

This explains the importance of knowledge, because most of those who do this only do it because of

ignorance, like those who fabricated ahaadeeth and attributed them to the Prophet (peace and

blessings of Allaah be upon him) on the basis of spreading good and encouraging people to do good,

but they ended up telling lies of a type for which the one who tells them is given a stern warning, but

he thought that he was earning reward!

Our aim is to point out the falseness of this method and to warn people against it. Hence we say:

The one who receives any of these false messages should advise the one who sent it and explain tohim that he should stop using these false incentives, and he should not believe what it says in the

message, that if he forwards it such and such will happen to him and if he does not forward it such and

such will happen to him, because this is a kind of lie, as stated above.

May Allaah help us all to do that which He loves and which pleases Him.

And Allaah knows best.

The Well of Zam-zam

The Well of Zamzam is a well located within the Masjid al Haram

in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, 20 meters east of the Kaaba, the holiestplace in Islam. According to Islamic tradition it was amiraculously- generated source of water, which began

thousands of years ago when Ibraham's infant son was thirstyand kept crying for water and was kicking at the ground whenwater gushed out. Millions of pilgrims visit the well each yearwhile performing the Hajj or Umrah pilgrimages, in order to

drink its water. By Saudi law, the water cannot be sold outsideof the kingdom, but because of strong demand there is a

thriving market in fake Zamzam water in other countries.

Here are some interesting facts about Zamzam:

The Zamzam well was excavated by hand, and is about30 meters deep and 1.08 to 2.66 meters in diameter. It

started 4000 yrs ago. Zamzam water has no color or

smell, but it has a distinct taste, and its pH is 7.9-8.0,indicating that it is alkaline to some extent. Never driedsince then never changed the taste, no Algae or plantgrowth in the pond, thus no disease caused.

It taps groundwater from the wadi alluvium and somefrom the bedrock. Originally water from the well wasdrawn via ropes and buckets, but today the well itself is in

a basement room where it can be seen behind glass panels

(visitors are not allowed to enter). Electric pumps draw thewater, which is available throughout the Masjid via water fountains and dispensing containers near theTawaf area.

The water level is 3.23 meters (about 10.59 ft) below the surface. This small pond provides water tomillions of people through heavy motors pulling 8000 liters/second for more than a 24 hour periodshowed a drop in water level from 3.23 meters below surface to 12.72 meters and then to 13.39meters, after which the water level stopped receding. When pumping stopped, the water levelrecovered to 3.9 meters below surface only 11 minutes later. This data shows that the aquifer feedingthe well seems to recharge from rock fractures in neighboring mountains around Mecca.

It was tested by European Laboratories & declared fit for drinking.

Sleeping on the right side

Lying down can be on the back, on theabdomen, on the left or right side. Which of these positions is the best for the functioning

of the organs?

An Australian researcher noticed the increasein the likelihood of babies‟ sudden deathwhen they sleep on their stomach comparedto those who sleep on one of the sides. It isinimitable that these modern studies agree

with what our prophet said as narrated byAbu Huraira (May Allah be pleased withhim): “When the prophet (peace be uponhim) saw a man lying on his front,

He said (Allah and his prophet dislike this position in lying) ” (Reported by Al-Tirmdhi)

Another Hadith is the one narrated by Abu Umama (May Allah be pleased with him) he said: “ Whenthe Prophet (peace be upon him) passed a man sleeping on his front in the mosque he hit him with hisfeet and said: wake up and seat as this is a diabolic sleep”

Lying on the back, on the other hand, causes the respiration to be through the mouth. Dr Attar seesthat the mouth opens up when lying on back as the inferior jaw relaxes.

However, the nose is the one prepared for respiration, as it contains hairs and mucous that act to

purify the air entering during inspiration, and as it has dense blood vessels that make the entering airwarmer. Respiration through the mouth then makes the person prone to colds, especially in the winter, and also to gum dryness and its resulting inflammation.

As well as it evokes potential situations of dissemble

So these positions the jaw and uvula oppose the wideness of nose and prevents current of breath. So

snoring will increase.

Sleeping on the left side is not favoured either, as the heart would be then under the pressure of the

right lung, the biggest of the two lungs, and this would affect its contraction especially if the person isold. The full stomach which itself is under the pressure of the heaviest organ in the digestive tract, the

liver, which delays its emptying, would also impose a pressure on the heart.

A group of experiments done by Galteh and Butseh found that the passage of food from the stomach tothe intestines takes from 2.5 to 4.5 hours if a person is sleeping on the right side whereas its takes 5to 8 hours if he is sleeping on the left side.

Thus, sleeping on the right side is the correct position as the left lung is smaller than the right one andthe pressure on the heart would therefore be less, the liver would not be suspended, and the stomachwould be on it and so emptying its contents would be quicker.

Moreover sleeping on the right side is one of the best medical interventions to facilitate the excretion of the mucous secretions of the left respiratory bronchioles.

Quran And The Modern World

That is what was said by Dr Al Rawi who added that the reason for the expansion of the airways in theleft lung and not the ones in the right one is that the right lung‟s bronchioles are laterally positioned toa certain extent, whereas the ones in the left lung are vertical and so it is harder to push the secretions

upwards to be excreted. This leads to their accumulation in the inferior segment, leading to theexpansion .The symptoms at this stage is excessive phlegm discharge in the morning which mayexacerbate and lead to serious illnesses such as lungs‟ apse and urinary disease, and one of the most

modern treatments for those cases is sleeping on the right side.

The Green Color in Qur'an:

The word greenness is mentioned several times in theverses of the Qur'an; describing the state of theinhabitants of paradise, and what surrounds them of

blessings in a luxury atmosphere of happiness, amusement and reassurance.

For instance:Allah says in the holly Quran : (Reclining on greenCushions and rich Carpets of beauty) (SURAH ALRAHMAN:76).

Allah says in the holly Quran: ( Upon them will be

green Garments of fine silk and heavy brocade, andthey will be adorned with bracelets of silver; and theirLord will give to them to drink of a Wine Pure and Holy)

(SURAH AL INSAN:21)

Allah says in the holly Quran :( They will recline on Carpets, whose inner linings will be of rich brocade:the Fruit of the Gardens will be near (and easy of reach)) (SURAH AL RAHMAN:54).

A psychologist called:

Ardtcham stated that colors exert a marked influence on humans. In order to prove this idea a numberof experiments have been conducted, demonstrating how colors affect our enthusiasm and wariness, italso gives a cold or warm feeling, brings happiness and sadness and have an impact on our personalityand the way we see life.

Nowadays hospitals weigh up the role colors play in changing the inner of human beings, by taking intoaccount the specialists suggestions about the colors that should be used inside hospitals for the walls

and clothing.Trials have indicated the stimulation of the nervous system by the yellow color. The orange bringsreassurance and calm, The blue makes people feel cold unlike the red which makes them feel warm.

However, it was found that the color of joy and happiness is the green, which makes it the favoritecolor for surgical rooms and surgeon‟s uniform. One example concerning this tremendous effects colors have, comes to our minds, concerning theexperiment that was carried in a London bridge called “black friar” known as the suicide bridge, asmany of the suicides were committed from it. When its color was changed from grey to a nice greencolor the rate of suicide has declined enormously.

It is known that the green color eases the vision due to its small vision area in addition to its mediumwave length which is shorter than the red one and longer that the blue one.

Pakistan to launch Remote Sensing Satellite in 2014

After the successful launch of communication satellitePaksat-IR, the Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere

Research Commission (SUPARCO) plans to launchhigh resolution Remote Sensing Satellite System(RSSS) in 2014.

The system is planned to be a progressive and

sustainable program. Initially, the commissionplanned to launch an optical satellite with payload of 2.5 meter PAN in 700 km sun-synchronous or bit by

the end of current, which will be followed by a seriesof optical and SAR Satellites.

SUPARCO Secretary Arshad H Siraj said it would behelpful in exploiting the potentials of space technologies for natural resource surveying and

environmental monitoring. The system will also be significant in executing application projects of national significance, transfer technology to users in public and private sectors as remote sensing alongwith its allied technologies has become an industry in itself.

He said the commission was the pioneer in introducing these technologies in Pakistan using thesatellite remote sensing techniques and the system would also be helpful in improving agriculture of the country, water resources, environment and other such issues.

The SUPARCO is aimed at contributing to the socio-economic development of the country bydemonstrating the potential of space technologies for natural resources surveying and environment

monitoring, he added.Pakistan entered the space age with the formal launching of a second hand purchased Paksat-I inJanuary 2003.

'Since then, our scientists and engineers had been making endeavors to launch indigenous satellite andensure country‟s permanent presence in the space'.In replying to a question, the SUPARCO secretary said under the vision 2040 of Pakistan‟s Spaceprogram, more satellites would be launched, which would help improve socio-economic condition of thecountry. As far as launch of spaceship is concerned, no such planning is in considerations and the focusis to launch more communication satellites, he maintained.

Pakistani Pilot writes after 46 years todaughter of Indian pilot he shot down

Nearly half-a-century after shooting down an Indian civil aircraftunder orders during the 1965 war with India, a Pakistan Air Force

pilot has sent a condolence message to the daughter of the pilotof the aircraft he downed.

Qais Hussain, a rookie Flying Officer during the 1965 war, madethis moving and humane gesture via an e-mail, expressing hiscondolences and providing details of the circumstances under

which he shot down the Indian aircraft.

The e-mail is addressed to Farida Singh, daughter of the IndianAir Force pilot Jahangir “Jangoo” Engineer, one of the three

famous Engineer brothers in the Indian Air Force.

The e-mail, with the subject line “Condolence”, dated Fri, Aug 5,2011, is copied to Naushad Patel and Jagan Pillarisetti, the Indian

contacts who helped Mr Hussain to reach out to the bereavedfamily, something he had wanted to do for some time. Mr Hussainforwarded the e-mail to a group e-mail for Pakistan Air Forcecolleagues, saying, “Most of you would recall that I had shot down

an Indian civil aircraft after being scrambled from Mauripur in

1965 War”. Referring to an April 2011 article by Air Cdre. Kaiser

Tufail (“The Gujarat Beechcraft Incident - 1965 War”,http://bit.ly/qhltr65 ), which gives details of the incident, he saysthat it was Naveed Riaz, the Lahore-based businessman and

aviation enthusiast who helped him get in touch with the Indian

contacts through whom he then managed to reach Jahangir Engineer‟s daughter.

“I had decided to write a note of condolence, which I was able to do today and it is attached in fullhere below for your information,” he writes to his PAF colleagues, copied to Naveed Riaz.

Reproduced below in full is his e-mail to Farida Singh: “Dear Mrs. Singh, “I am glad that by now we

know about each other and it is no surprise that I am writing to you, thanks to Naushad Patel andJagan Pillarisetti.

“The incident happened 46 years back but it is as fresh in my mind as if it had happened yesterday. The aircraft flown by your father had drifted off course by many a miles and in his search for the

destination, he had been going up and down in the border area of Rann of Katchh for quite some timeand it made our Radar Controllers uncomfortable.

I happened to be strapped up in my aircraft along with another pilot (my Leader) in his, on twominutes take-off alert. We were scrambled but I had to take off alone, and with the help from my radarcontroller, intercepted your father‟s aircraft which was considered to be on a recce mission to open anew war front. I caught sight of him at 3000‟ and made a pass so close that I could read his markings

and the number of the aircraft.

Your father spotted my presence immediately and he started climbing and waggling his wings seekingmercy.

“Instead of firing at him at first sight, I relayed to my controller that I had intercepted an eight seattransport aircraft (guessing by the four side windows) and wanted further instructions to deal with it.

At the same time, I was hoping that I would be called back without firing a shot. There was a lapse of

3 to 4 long minutes before I was given clear orders to shoot the aircraft. “After the shooting, I had asense of achievement and satisfaction that I had completed my mission and destroyed any recce datathat might have been collected to open a new war front. I landed back at Mauripur, Karachi with myfuel tanks bone dry and was greeted by my seniors and other squadron colleagues.

Later that evening, All India Radio announced the names of the occupants who had lost their lives inthat aircraft. “The reason that I have been trying to get in touch with you since recently is an article by

Air Cdre Kaiser Tufail in April 2011, in which he researched the whole incident and came out with his

story by interviewing me, the radar controller (a Flying Officer) and his supervisor (a WingCommander) who took the decision to order the shoot.

I have also read numerous versions that appeared in the Indian media at the time, said to beeyewitness accounts from peasants of Mithapur which are unfortunately based on hearsay. Even thefindings of an Enquiry Committee constituted by the Indian Government are nowhere near to whatactually happened.

I was alone at the site of incident while my Leader who took off finally about 6 to 7 minutes after me(due to change of aircraft and a new pilot), was perched at the border at 20,000‟ acting as a relay

station between me and the controller at Badin. I had lost contact somewhere while descending to3,000‟ and had we not had this aircraft at 20,000‟ at the border, I would not have found your father‟saircraft and he would not have lost his life along with all the others.

Nonetheless, the unfortunate part in all this is that I had to execute the orders of my controller.“MrsSingh, I have chosen to go into this detail to tell you that it all happened in the line of duty and it wasnot governed by the concept that „everything is fair in love and war‟, the way it has been portrayed bythe Indian media due to lack of information. I did not play foul and went by the rules of business butthe unfortunate loss of precious lives, no matter how it happens, hurts each human and I am noexception. I feel sorry for you, your family and the other seven families who lost their dearest ones. Ifeel greatly grieved that you lost your brother Noshir recently.

If an opportunity ever arises that I could meet you face to face to condole the death of your father 46years back I would grab it with both hands. I would highly appreciate if you please convey my feelingsto the other members of your family, who were equally hurt by the untimely departure of Jungoo to

the next world.“I hope and pray that you and your family stay well

My Best Regards…

Qais

"The two boards have workedclosely together to schedule a visit by Pakistan in December which is when both teams will be freefrom other commitments," Rabeed Imam, the Bangladesh Cricket Board media manager, told theExpress Tribune.

"Bangladesh is set to host West Indies from October to November this year but have an extensivewindow to host Pakistan after that until March next year when we are supposed to host the Asia Cup.

"With December being the only month when Pakistan could play us, a series may be finalised for thattime but the schedule is yet to be finalised. The tour may comprise two Tests, three ODIs and aTwenty20 but that's all to be confirmed."

Bangladesh last toured Pakistan in 2008 but since then the two sides have played against each other

only twice across all three formats, once each in the World Twenty20 2010 and in the Asia Cup 2010.

Pakistan were scheduled to visit Bangladesh last year but the series was postponed amid reports of differences between the two boards. "The proposed tour by Pakistan at the end of the year is part of the Future Tours Programme one originally scheduled for last August and later moved to 2011-12,"Imam said.

"The BCB and the PCB have always been in a cordial and healthy relationship. You may recall thatBangladesh toured Pakistan in 2008 when other teams weren't touring and we returned for the AsiaCup later that year as well."

Pakistani Develops Quran Search Engine in Urdu

Zahid Hussain, an IT professional fromPakistan has developed a search

engine/directory software for the Holy Quran, which can display topic based results from HolyQuran.

It‟s not that search engine for Holy Quran werenot available before, but special feature thatZahid Hussain brought is that you can searchfor any topic or subject in the Holy Quran infour languages

  English,  Arabic,

  Urdu and  Roman Urdu).

Earlier versions of Search Engine for Holy Quran (easily available online) support mainly the Englishand Arabic languages.

Roman Urdu is what most of us use in normal text messages so the effort to make the Quran moreaccessible is commendable.

The way it works is that suppose you want to know what the Quran says about a particular topic, say

ر“  ص ”. You can either type it in Urdu, type “Patience” in English or “Sabar” in Roman Urdu.

The software will then tell you how many times it appears in the Quran and where it appears. Alltranslations are provided along with the original ayat.

Zahid completed this software after working on it for one and a half years and is providing it free of

cost. You can donate for his efforts and help with future projects; his homepage provides details forthat.

Other projects he‟s currently working on and plans to release are Search Hadees Engine, SearchTafseer-e-Quran, Search Quran-o-Hadees website and Search Quran-o-Hadees Mobile software.

He maintains a blog which can be found at: http://honestzahid.blog.com/

The software itself can be downloaded from: http://www.mediafire.com/?3qtx6v93f6rc9sf
