    The Rhegedian Chronicle 1

THE RHEGEDIAN CHRONICLEThe month of Aranung, in the Year of the Leaping Bear

    Issue 3 21/2d

    I NSI DE THIS ISSUE

    1 Here be Dragons!!

    2 The Great Game

    Here be Dragons

By Pierre Sur-coraislamy Scrivener to the Court of the Duc de Rheged .

Fiery death and flaming ruin strikes in the

    North

Following on from the Slaughter enacted by the vile followers

of Chaos the nobles beasts of Rheged have taken it upon

    themselves to strike back.

Whilst exploring in the North West the Chaos hordes

disturbed a large nest of these great and wondrous beasts andtheir wrath was terrible. The host of Brynar the Corrupted has

been decimated suffering terrible losses, initial reports

suggested that Brynar himself had been consumed by the

flames but it now seems that these reports were exaggerated.

The host of the Blood Lord also suffered at the mouths of the

Dragons but only a handful of his sturdy troops were felled.

At a time of so much woe it is heartening to see the Creatures

of the land themselves rising up to defeat this menace. Will our

Noble rulers eve so such vigour themselves?

Artists impression of the scouring of Brynar.

    The Rhegedian Chronicle 2

The Imperial Army on the march

    The Great Game.

By Pierre Sur-coraislamy Scrivener to the Court of the

    Duc de Rheged.

A treatise on the movements of the armies

    of Rheged.

    The Minions of Chaos

Following on from their victories over the Lizardmen the

Chaotic forces continued to explore to the East. This led to

them discovering a nest of Dragons which proved most

costly to the Chaos hosts. This coupled with an outbreak of

a most virulent plague (odd in an army of Father Nurgles

worshippers!) meant that the Chaotic hosts achieved littleagain this month.

The Noble Armies of Caer Curwen

Lord Caerluel, Duc de Rheged slowed his Eastward

expansion liberating the Barony of Westward (A strange

name for the most easterly settlement of this fine Kingdom.)

They also liberated Castel Lorton and it’s surrounding

settlements on the border with the tibal lands of Snazzgit

Stunty Stompa, denying him the tributes he had been used

to enforcing. The hinterland of the Kingdom continues to

prove barren and unproductive with but a few small wretchedhamlets or lonely farms.

    The Throng of Karak Jhaz

To the South west the Dwai maintained the pace of their

rapid expansion conquering numerous lands including a

vibrant and prosperous Cityat the northern most limits of

their realm and two, prosperous and verdant shires, one to

the south and the other to the far north. We have now been

provided with the names of the new Dwarven holds. It is

our intention to include these alongside a map in next

months edition. The new Berts Peerage places King Rik

Grimli Lunnsson (257) as the richest monarch in Rheged!

The Glorious Hosts of Tor Sarior

The trials and tribulations of the Elves of Tor Sarior

continue. With them finding no new settlementsTheir

inaction may soon be their undoing as they are rapidly

running out of lands to advance into.

    The Empire of Barrowstown

The turmoil within Emperor Maximillian Von Wittelsbach

III’s (47) court continues and there are now growing

concerns over the possibility of Civil War! The Emperors

nephew Ludovic Von Wittelsbach Grand Count of Estermot

and heir apparent is becoming increasingly vocal in hiscondemnation of the emperor’s inaction faced with the threats

to their borders. The open protests in the streets have now

turned into running battles between disaffected citizens and

    the increasingly stretched Furness Guard.

    The Crooked Nose Tribe

It would seem that Snazzgit Stunty Stompa (38 we think)

Has been outraged by the Duc De Rheged’s liberation of

Castel Lorton. This prdeful Goblin has been heard ranting

and calling upon the gods to strike down the Bretonnian

ruler. Rumours now persit of large movements of Goblinsthroughout the area, with a large force rumoured to have

headed south. What their aim could be remains a mystery.

    Clan Skragskritt

We still have little reliable information regrding this

    rumoured empire!
