NEW STATION

Preaching the gospel is the most urgent and important work in the world. Nothing is more vital to our eternal life than God’s message of love, grace, forgiveness, and hope. Our culture is filled with lost souls, many of whom do not know they are lost. The false teachers of this world have deceived the masses into believing things God never taught.

We must give heed to ourselves and to what we teach. We must endeavor to keep our hearts and our motives right before God. We must show the love of God by what we teach and by the way we teach it. We must never compromise our teaching or lose sight of our task in loving people and reaching them with the saving message of the gospel.

The work we do at SEARCH is never our work alone. We are doing the Lord’s work as partners with the Lord’s people. All of us together are making the gospel message known throughout the United States and the world. We are media missionaries, planting the gospel seed in areas where the church is strong and where it is weak. We don’t want anyone to fail to hear God’s saving message of love and grace.

Through the use of television, we have been able to make this gospel message available to more than 100 million households in America for a mere 3.2 cents per household per year! Many more throughout the world are hearing the message by means of the Internet. Our website and YouTube channel (SearchTVMinistry) are continually providing opportunities for people to hear the gospel.

Please continue to keep us in your prayers. We need them and your continued financial support. Without God’s help and yours, we could do very little. This ministry depends on God’s blessing.

May the Lord be with you, Phil Sanders

Save Both Yourself and Those who Hear You

This April has become my busiest month in several years. It has been a great blessing to see many friends in numerous places from Lads to Leaders at the beginning to Deer Creek at the end. We have seen a lot of weather changes from snow to 90 degrees and from grassfires to rain. Strong winds seem to follow us wherever we go. Thankfully, God and prayer go with us as well.

We are so grateful for all our friends who love the SEARCH ministry. Our outreach seems to grow with every season. We will begin appearing on the CW network (WSTW) in Seattle, WA, each Sunday at 7 am. This market covers the state, and is a great addition to our programming. Your encouragement in this growth means so much to us all.

God continues to answer our prayers and to bless us financially. We are deeply thankful to the Lord for all His kindness.

We have received a tremendous response to this month’s programs, focusing on the cross of Christ. If you have not ordered your copy of the CDs or booklets, Kneel at the Cross, please call today and order yours.

Jackie and I are continuing to do well physically. We are planning to take a vacation during the middle of May. We are retreating to the Kiamichi Mountains, where we have a secluded cabin, to celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary.

Springtime is now in full swing in SEARCH’s home state of Oklahoma and the power of GOD is so evident in nature all around this part of the country.

A couple of weeks ago a brother in Christ contacted me and asked if there was any way to get the SEARCH program on a broadcast TV station in the Seattle, WA area. This brother runs a fishing guide service and lodge in Northern Alaska, but has family and friends in Washington state. I immediately called our producer/agent Sam Clark and told him of the request. Within forty-five minutes, Sam called me back and told me he had been contacted by a TV station marketing representative in Seattle before he even had a chance to call anyone. Sam said, “It gave me chills when the rep told him he was calling for a Seattle television station and that the station had a Sunday morning thirty minute time slot available at 7:00 am.” Try to tell anyone at SEARCH that the hand of the LORD was not in this transaction.

Ephesians 3:20-21 “Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, forever. Amen.” NASV

As of April 29, 2018 IN SEARCH OF THE LORD’S WAY will be on Seattle CW station KSTW channel 11 Sunday mornings at 7:00 am available to more than 1,848,000 households. We give GOD the praise for this new powerful television station and pray much seed of the Kingdom will be planted in Seattle and Washington state.

Is SEARCH local information shown in your church bulletin? We offer free graphics for all who call, write or email us and ask for the graphics file package. It can be sent to your home or church email. You can also download it from our website under the “Support” tab.

Many thanks to our faithful volunteers for another great month of helping us get the Gospel message sent to all who request booklets, CDs and Bible correspondence courses!

As always, the SEARCH staff asks for your prayers for this ministry. Please tell your friends, family, neighbors and brothers and sisters in Christ to watch the program. Our best advertisement tool is for you to tell others about SEARCH!

In HIM......Chris Lyon

Topics subject to change without notice

JUNE 3 – GOD HAS SPOKENWhen Jesus spoke in the first century, scribes

took down His words, and these words are in the New Testament. God speaks to us today through His Son Jesus, and we would do well to listen to what He says.

JUNE 10 – SCRIPTURE IS TRUSTWORTHY

How do we know the word of God came to us in a form that was like the original? What about all those variants in Scripture? In this lesson we’ll see how God’s word is true to its origin and is utterly trustworthy.

JUNE 17 – SCRIPTURE IS ALL-SUFFICIENT

God gave to us in the Bible all things that pertain to life and godliness, and we are not lacking any-thing that teaches us how to live and how to have eternal life. Because the word is all-sufficient, there is no need to change it in any way.

JUNE 24 – SCRIPTURE MEETS OUR NEEDS

The Scriptures, because they come from our Creator, understand humanity and provides the encouragement, hope, and help people need when they most need it. God’s wisdom comes to us in His Word.

Volunteer Day

With the Oklahoma teacher walkout still going on we had many new helpers this last volunteer day. "Thank you", to all the kids that took time to come help mail out.

LITTLE ROCK, AR “Thank you so very much for the Search program! I listen to Brother Sanders as I did with Brother Lyon, as I get dressed to go to worship. I am very concerned about how our worship services have changed in our churches of Christ! Thank you for the Worship booklet – I cried as I read what true worship is all about! It seems that Jesus and His sacrifice for us is the least important. I plan to give more of these booklets to others to help refresh their memories about true worship!”

MURFREESBORO, TN “Hopefully we are all encouraged by the Lord giving us another year to prepare for His coming! We’re praying that more people will realize the need to come to Him and to support those who are taking the Word to the world. I have recently been blessed by the baptism of my

CORONA, CA “My son and I enjoy your TV programs very much. Because of his year of health issues and being confined to home your programs meant a real blessing to us. This year I have been using your study guides and reading your lessons on my laptop. I would like a copy of your new booklet ‘Kneel at the Cross.’ We thank each one of your staff for their service and Brother Sanders for his wonderful lessons. I enjoy your monthly newsletter.”

MIAMI, OK “We certainly do appreciate and support your good work with the Search program. We have enjoyed the wonderful CD’s that you have been sending. May God bless your efforts, to His glory!”

DALLAS, TX “I hope my neighbors do not call the police on me. On Sunday mornings when I am getting ready for church, I sing from the top of my lungs along with the singing on the program. May not be beautiful singing, but I know God is glorified!”

grandson. So much happiness for one baptism! I think of all those you are blessing by carrying the message to so many! May God continue to bless this ministry.”

HAYNESVILLE, VA “Enclosed, please find a gift for your ministry of preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ and faith and obedience to God’s Word, and growing in God’s Grace. I do thank you and the Lord our God for you and your ministry and how I’ve been entrusted, encouraged and blessed by learning from His Word and Way. I pray that you will continue to grow and stay strong in serving the Lord.”

MERIDIANVILLE, AL “I know God is pleased and souls are saved by your good work. May God bless you and your good wife for many more years that you may continue this good work.”
