Theatr Mwldan is situated in the centre of Cardigan -turn left at the north end of the High Street/Pendre.There is ample parking behind the theatre for cars andcoaches. Parking is free after 6pm. If for any reason you find you are unable to make a performance orscreening you have booked seats for, your tickets can be returned upto seven days in advance of a performance, and we will issue you witha full credit note. Alternatively we can exchange your tickets for amore suitable performance of the same show or film, or in the eventof a full house we will do our best to re-sell your tickets for you(although this cannot be guaranteed). We have all the summer’s bigmovies here for you to enjoy,including the final installmentof the Harry Potter story,which we’re presenting fromthe date of national release –July 15th - in both digital 2Dand 3D formats so you canchoose the one you prefer! We’ve also recently had a newgeneration digital projectorinstalled in Mwldan 1, whichmeans a much brighter image– especially in 3D! We’re alsoworking on plans to installdigital projection in Mwldan 2within the next 12 months. There are many excitinghighlights in our liveprogramme – including ourpopular outdoor shows in July,plus Irish music superstarsPatrick Street and world-famous mountaineer Doug Scott in September.We’re also launching our nexttwo co-production projects –Much Ado About Nothing withMappa Mundi in September,and a new Welsh languagecomedy drama Salsa! WithTheatr na n’Óg which opens atthe National Eisteddfod inAugust before coming toMwldan in October.We wish you a wonderfulsummer, and a warmwelcome to Theatr Mwldan.

Mariusz Kwiecien brings his youthful and sensualinterpretation of Mozart’s timeless anti-hero to the Met for the first time, under the direction of Tony Award®-winning director Michael Grandage and with James Levineconducting. A troupe of refined Mozartians appears in thisnew production, including Marina Rebeka, Barbara Frittoli, Isabel Leonard,Matthew Polenzani, Ramón Vargas, and John Relyea. Gerald Finley stepsinto the title role later in the season, and Andrew Davis also conducts.

DOUG SCOTT - LIFE AND HARD TIMESIn this stunningly illustrated lecture, Doug Scott returns to hisroots and tells how he first discovered climbing when out withthe Boy Scouts. From his early climbs in the Alps and hisexpedition apprenticeship in Chad, Kurdistan and Afghanistan,he moved to big wall climbing, via an obsession with bigoverhangs in Britain and the Dolomites. This was followed byclimbs on Yosemite’s El Capitan, Norway’s Troll Wall, the bigwalls of Baffin Island and the first Grade 6 right on the ArcticCircle up Mount Asgard’s 5000ft east face, before taking bigwall climbing to the ultimate in the Himalaya and Karakorum.

However Doug Scott is best known for Everest and his firstascent of its massive South West face. Better known asEverest: The Hard Way, this climb both brought to a close theera of ‘siege style’ climbing and ushered in an intense periodof lightweight expeditions to the world’s greatest peaks. ACCIDENTAL DEATH OFAN ANARCHISTDario Fo’s celebrated comic masterpiece has become ahugely popular farce since it was first staged in 1970.Accidental Death of an Anarchist is based on real eventsinvolving an anarchist who, whilst being held in police custodyon charges of bombing a bank, fell - or was thrown - from thefourth floor window of a Milan police station.

Funny, farcical and occasionally verging on slapstick, the playgains momentum at a cracking pace as Fo’s cleverly snappydialogue explodes like gunfire to reveal a masterly plot in anattempt to ridicule the police and expose a cover up.

One of the world’s most frequently performed livingplaywrights, Dario Fo’s dramatic work employs comedicmethods of the ancient Italian commedia dell’arte. Oftencontroversial and occasionally subject to censorship, Fo wasnevertheless awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1997.

It questions the beliefthat as the world becomes moremodern so it will become morereasonable and enlightened -exposing the misapprehension thata truly modern world will haverational, forward-looking andhumane values.

For this exhibition, Berminghamand Robinson are making a newbody of work, responding to TheatrMwldan, which reflects theircreative dialogue on culturalreferences to a promised futureusing the visual language offorgotten film advertising. This newdirection of work discusses ideas offear and excitement in both theirpast and our future. ::

We have all the summer’s bigmovies here for you to enjoy,including the final installmentof the Harry Potter story,which we’re presenting fromthe date of national release –July 15th - in both digital 2Dand 3D formats so you canchoose the one you prefer! We’ve also recently had a newgeneration digital projectorinstalled in Mwldan 1, whichmeans a much brighter image– especially in 3D! We’re alsoworking on plans to installdigital projection in Mwldan 2within the next 12 months. There are many excitinghighlights in our liveprogramme – including ourpopular outdoor shows in July,plus Irish music superstarsPatrick Street and world-famous mountaineer Doug Scott in September.We’re also launching our nexttwo co-production projects –Much Ado About Nothing withMappa Mundi in September,and a new Welsh languagecomedy drama Salsa! WithTheatr na n’Óg which opens atthe National Eisteddfod inAugust before coming toMwldan in October.We wish you a wonderfulsummer, and a warmwelcome to Theatr Mwldan.

Theatr Mwldan is situated in the centre of Cardigan -turn left at the north end of the High Street/Pendre.There is ample parking behind the theatre for cars andcoaches. Parking is free after 6pm. You can buy your tickets for any live or cinema performance inadvance on-line at mwldan.co.uk, by phone (Visa, Delta, Mastercard,Solo and Switch), in person or by post (cheques made to TheatrMwldan and an SAE). If for any reason you find you are unable to make a performance orscreening you have booked seats for, your tickets can be returned upto seven days in advance of a performance, and we will issue you witha full credit note. Alternatively we can exchange your tickets for amore suitable performance of the same show or film, or in the eventof a full house we will do our best to re-sell your tickets for you(although this cannot be guaranteed).
