Tulane University is one of 12 collegiate teams nationwide selected to compete in the APT/PBS reality show “Make48.” Billed as the “world’s fastest invention competition,” the MakerSpace-inspired show gives student teams 48 hours to plan, prototype and pitch a new commercial product idea to a panel of judges. The top three teams have the chance to bring their products to market and become the subject of a documentary-style TV series.

Dear «Salutation»,

It’s an incredibly exciting time at Tulane University. And we have you to thank. So many of you.

The Only the Audacious campaign is inspiring Tulane alumni, parents, friends, students, faculty, staff and supporters. An astounding 5,000 donors showed their generosity to Tulane during the most recent fi scal year—more than have ever given to the university before. This remarkable number comes at a time when donations at other universities are dropping. But Tulane donors have always been audacious.

Generosity takes heart, and consistent giving to Tulane takes unwavering passion. With everything going on in your busy life, it is bold to think of others, of the Tulane students and scholars who will change the world because of your benevolence.

Your gifts to the Tulane Fund for Undergraduate Education empower students to dream big and face the world’s challenges head on. One such example is Samantha Tigner, a 2018 graduate who was an environmental studies and international development double major when hurricanes Irma and Maria passed over the U.S. Virgin Islands in 2017. She visited the islands, interviewing citizens and government offi cials to conduct an independent study of the islands’ recovery plans then gave suggestions for rebuilding. Samantha is just one of many audacious Tulane undergraduates whose experience was made possible by donors like you.

Please consider making a gift to the Tulane Fund for Undergraduate Education. Every dollar fuels the Only the Audacious campaign and advances the growth and evolution of our bright and ambitious undergraduates—empowering them to take bold steps toward an exceptional future.

Best,

Mike FittsPresident
