NAME THE TIGER St. Peter’s Tiger now has a name. It was voted on by students during National

Lutheran School Week. The Tiger’s name is . . . . . Timothy Tiger!!! Go Tigers!!!

SNOW MAKE UP DAYS St. Peter’s will be going to school on March 22. That will also be that last day of the 3rd quarter. FYI. The 7&8 Grade is currently short 35 minutes for an official year. A date will be selected to in May for all 7&8 grade students to stay after school for an additional 45 minutes. During that time students will be engaged in fun Science and/or English projects. Mr. Dehn and Mrs. Craker will be leading this special class time. Please let me know if you have any questions.

SURVEY SOON The annual survey of Parents, Teachers, Student and Church Members will be in April. Be looking for more information. This is an important part of our accreditation process and improving the ministry of St. Peter’s Lutheran School.

BOOK BINGO WAS A BIG SUCCESS!! Parent Teacher League would like to 'Thank You' for the kind book donations for the Bingo for Books event. It was a fun event and there was a great book selection for all students. Your donations are greatly appreciated and you helped make the event successful.

CRUSADING TIGERS St. Peter’s and Sacred Heart have teamed up to create the CRUSADING TIGERS!! This program offers Track & Field to 6th through 8th grades again this spring! You can stop by the office to pick up the informational packet your child will need to begin our Track & Field team for this spring. We will be having our first practice on Monday, April 1, 5:30-6:30 at Pineview Track (weather depending). A parent meeting will be held on this day. All forms including the T-shirt order form needs to be returned to the school by Wednesday, March 20th. The t-shirt form is mandatory by this day to receive a shirt. REMINDER: all paperwork, including a current physical exam card that is filled out & signed by a physician, needs to be completed prior to participating in St. Peter’s Athletics. Our head coach is Mr. Aaron Roden, but please let us know if anyone is interested in helping coach or assisting with our track team!

ST. PETER’S IS WISCONSIN SCHOOL CHOICE This program is a state-wide program that allows families to apply for state aid that will cover your registration and tuition cost of attending St. Peter’s School. Currently this program is available for the 2019-2020 school year for St. Peter’s students entering PRE-K 4, Kindergarten and 1st grade, or students that are new to St. Peter’s in PRE-K 4 - 8th grade. Applications may be found online at http://dpi.wi.gov/sms/choice-programs/student-applications. Applications are being accepted February 1st - April 20th, 2019. If you have any question, or would like some assistance in the application process, please stop by the office. We will be happy to help. IF YOU ARE A RETURNING FAMILY to the School Choice Program, it is important that you go to this same website to re-apply for your seat. Seating is limited so don’t delay!

LOST & FOUND

There is a great deal of items that have accumulated in the LOST & FOUND. You can find these items by the school office. Items not claimed by Friday, March 15 will be donated to Orphan Grain Train. CUSTODIAL POSITION AVAILABLE

The Board of Trustees is looking for a full-time custodian at the school. If you are interested in the full-time year-round position, please contact the school office for an application. Deadline to apply is Friday, March 22, 2019.

St. Peter’s LAMP/YOUTH Team presents CARNIVAL DAY with a SILENT AUCTION!! This event will take place at St. Peter’s School from

11:30 am – 3PM on Sunday, March 17. There will be games, bouncy house, face painting, food & drinks, and prizes! Tickets will be used to participate in games and

can be purchased at the carnival for $0.50 each. The LAMP/YOUTH Team are asking for prize donations from the congregation. Items might include stuffed animals, toys, puzzles,

games, and fun themed stickers/notepads. These items can be placed in the donation box at the entrance of the church.

PARENT / TACHER CONFERENCES

Kindergarten – 8th grade Parent/Teacher conferences will be held on Thursday, April 4. To schedule a conference, please return the form coming home with students today.

Ministry in Motions are examples of students and staff putting their faith into "motion." Ministry in Motions will not show up on a test score, but they are at the core of what St. Peter's ministry is all about. I share these as examples of how Christ's light is shining at St. Peter's. To God be the glory!

• A finalist in the Spell Bee gave a high five to cheer on their competitor. • Classmates made cards of kindness for a fellow classmate who needed cheering up.

CLUB CHOICE PIZZA SALE KICKS OFF!!

Students are coming home today with the pizza sale packets. A great selection of products and a long list of prizes. 10% of funds raised will help in replacing the church roof, 40% will benefit the Athletic Program and 50% will be credited to family’s lunch and/or tuition account. What a great opportunity to support your church and school and YOUR family!!! CORRECTION – Orders are due by April 1st.
