Has been rector of St Mary the Virgin, Rowner, since 1995, and was area dean for five years. THE VEN PETER SUTTON Since June 1987 After 19 years in Lee-on-Solent and six years as Archdeacon of the Isle of Wight, he’s moving to Greatham, Empshott, Hawkley and Priors Dean THE REV JEANETTE POWER Since July 1982 Served in Warblington and Emsworth, Hart Plain, Wickham and Copnor, as well as stints as chaplain to mental health in Havant and hospitals in Portsmouth THE REV JOHN RYDER Since October 1991 Worked in South Africa and St Helena and served a curacy in Havant before starting as parish priest in Godshill in 1995. CANON HUGH WRIGHT Since October 1992 First came to the Isle of Wight to be vicar of St John’s Ryde. Switched to being parish priest in Ventnor and Bonchurch in 2013. THE REV ANDY DAVIS Since July 1989 He was bishop’s chaplain and priest in Bishop’s Waltham before taking up his current post as parish priest at Holy Trinity and Christ Church, Gosport. CANON NICK RALPH Since June 1992 After curacies in Fareham and Copnor, was a vicar in Hayling Island before starting as our social responsibility adviser.
