30 Hours | $695This course is designed for individuals interested in teaching the OSHA 10- and 30-hour construction safety and health Outreach Training Program to their employees and other interested groups. Using OSHA Construction Standards as a guide, special emphasis is placed on those topics required in the 10-and 30-hour programs as well as those which are most hazardous. Students are briefed on effective instructional approaches and use of visual aids and handouts. This course allows the student to become a trainer in the OSHA Outreach Training Program, to conduct both 10-and 30-hour Construction Outreach classes, and to issue cards to participants after verifying course completion.

OSHA 501trainer Course in OSHA Standards for general Industry

The course provides an update on OSHA Construction Standards, policies and regulations.

OSHA 503update for general Industry Outreach trainers

19 Hours | $495This course is designed for Outreach Training Program trainers who have completed course 501. Upon course completion students will have the ability to define construction terms found in the OSHA Construction Standards, identify hazards which occur in the construction industry, locate and determine appropriate OSHA Construction Standards, policies, and procedures, and describe the use of OSHA Construction Standards and regulations to supplement an ongoing safety and health program.

SH 385 EM 385-1-1 and OSHA Construction 30-Hour u.S. Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements

40 Hours | $695This course is designed specifically for contractors, military, and government employees who enforce or must comply with the United States Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements (EM 385-1-1, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Safety & Health Requirements Manual) and OSHA 29 CFR 1926. Attendees will learn the unique procedures established by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers contracts and EM 385-1-1 as well as the corresponding OSHA construction safety requirements and how to use this information to identify and control potential hazards on construction sites.

Course topics include Introduction to OSHA, Focus Four, recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in construction. Specific topics cover preparation of Accident Prevention Plans (APP), Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) development, Job-site inspections, a review of EM 385-1-1safety and health requirements, and training on the 29 CFR 1926 OSHA Construction Standards.

26 Hours | $595This course covers industrial hygiene practices and related OSHA regulations and procedures. Course topics include recognition, evaluation, and control of chemical, physical, biological and ergonomic hazards, Permissible Exposure Limits (PEL), OSHA health standards, respiratory protection, engineering controls, OSHA sampling protocols and strategies, and workplace health program elements. The course features workshops in health hazard recognition, OSHA health standards and use of sampling equipment.

OSHA 2015Hazardous Materials

26 Hours | $595This course covers OSHA General Industry Standards and other consensus and proprietary standards that relate to the use of hazardous materials. Course topics include flammable and combustible liquids, compressed gases, LP-gases, and cryogenic liquids. Related processes such as spraying and dipping and use of electrical equipment in hazardous locations are also discussed. Upon course completion students will have the ability to assess compliance with OSHA hazardous materials standards, determine hazardous (classified) locations, and proper moving, storing, and handling of hazardous materials.

OSHA 2045Machinery and Machine guarding Standards

26 Hours | $595This course covers the various types of common machinery, machine safe guards, and related OSHA regulations and procedures. Guidance is provided on the hazards associated with various types of machinery and the determination of proper machine safe guards. Course topics include machinery processes, mechanical motions, points of operation, control of hazardous energy sources (lockout/tagout), guarding of portable powered tools, and common OSHA machine guarding violations. Program highlights include the ability to recognize hazards and provide options for control and hazard abatement through machines safeguarding inspection workshops.

Students are now able to submit OSHA Outreach card requests through the Outreach Portal via our website, www.Out-reachPortal.com.

We designed the web-based portal with our instructors in mind to provide a more efficient and reliable process of requesting Outreach cards.

Portal features:

• Student cards will be delivered to the Outreach Trainer preprinted with the Student Name, Trainer Name, and Expiration Date.

• Record keeping and reporting capabilities reduce paperwork and provide a centralized location for all program reports submitted.

• Electronic submissions reduce the amount of administrative work previously associated with submitting paper reports, allowing you more time to focus on your outreach training, as well as allowing us more time to dedicate to providing you with outstanding service.

• Trainers can access the training resources page with training materials for their upcoming classes, such as PowerPoint presentations and handouts within the portal.

Training Offered WorldwideOur International Programs team can deliver contract training worldwide in a variety of topic areas that include occupational safety and health, maritime, oil and gas, environmental, healthcare and transportation. By developing customized curriculum to fit the customer’s needs, our experienced trainers support foreign governments and the private industry sector by delivering on-site instruction to their workforce. We currently have active projects in Central and South America, Europe and Asia providing best practice and train-the-trainer courses in English and native languages. Student Withdrawal and Transfer Policy

Students have several options available should they need to withdraw from a class. The available options are dependent on when the student withdrawal is made. Please note: All student withdrawal requests must be received via telephone, Monday-Friday during normal business hours.

Discounts

Individuals who need the Update for Outreach Trainers course (OSHA 502 or OSHA 503) can take the full trainer course OSHA 500 or OSHA 501 for the cost of the update class. They will need to provide a copy of their current trainer card before registration.

• 5%: Pay for five registrations at once (either different classes or different registrants)and get Five percent off the open enrollment price.

• Enrollment fees are waived for all OSHA Region VI employees.

• Discounts cannot be applied retroactively to classes already taken or in progress.

Cancellations

UT Arlington reserves the right to change or cancel any class. In the unfortunate event that a class must be changed or cancelled, you will be notified by phone and/or email. You are required to provide a valid e-mail address and phone number to ensure notification. The decision to cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment will be made approximately one to two business days prior to the class start date. In the event that a class for which you have registered is cancelled, you may choose another class or receive a refund in accordance with the UT Arlington, Division for Enterprise Development Refund Policy.

Textbooks

All course materials will be provided on the first class day by UT Arlington unless indicated otherwise. Additional CFRs may be purchased at the following prices: 29 CFR 1910- $25, 29 CFR 1926 - $20.
