TVA COAL PLANTS OPERATING PAST 2030 Below is a data table of coal plants that are expected to still be online in 2030-2035 and the annual carbon dioxide emissions from those plants in 2019. A FOIA request by the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy (SACE) revealed TVA plans to retire “uncontrolled” Shawnee units of 798 megawatts in 2034 (~half of total plant capacity).
