Soil Conservation Service
During' the past two and one-half years, the ,Soil Conservation Servioe has aWll.rded contracts for aerial photographsand radial oontrol mosaios of numerous areas ,throughout the United States on which erosion oonditions were oritioal. These areas range in IIize from 13 square miles up to 68,420 square miles.
Ai! different materials were required on almost every advertisement to meet the needs of the various projects andas the cost of flying varies in different seotions of the country, it is impossible to plot a curve from the tabulatiQnshown, 1ihich would be useful in estimating the cost of the proposed work. HOI/rever, from a careful study of the uni~
prioes, together with the othez: conditions whioh effeot bidding, it has been possible' at all times to estimate bidprioes within ten percent or less.
