1 As-Is State by Examples
Bring your own Device: Soap, Desinfection, Paper Towel, Toilet Paper from Supermarket
2 Design Analyis at Flipchart
Lavatory with built-in tools and bring-your-own-device tools ( soap, paper towel, desinfection )
WC with different versions of toilet paper spenders
Chart: Price of paper towels/m vs. price of a airstream-based hand dryer
3 Traditional Design
Technology: Soap piece
Textile towel
Feature:Multiple use of the items
Soap pieces aren't just used 100%, but just to a minimum size
User Experience: Hesitation about multiple use of items, used before by other users :-(
Disgust to use dirty-looking soap and dirty textile towels :-(
4 Industrial Manufacturing Design
Technology: Mechanical machines of the 1960th, 1970thSoap spender
Paper towel spender
Features:Need for professional maintainance
Sometimes need for professional commodities ( e.g. special toilet paper roles )
User Experience: The devices ( e.g. paper towel spenders ) are often not properly working even if filled with items, or empty :-(
Fill level of soap spenders is usually invisible :-)
Clean single-used items :-)
5 Design by Users
Bring Your own Device, Supermarket DesignSoap spender, Paper towel, Paper toilet paper
FeaturesLow price
User ExperienceSelf-service instead of professional service :-)
100% emptying, fill level of soap spenders is invisible :-)
Clean single-used items :-)

Sometimes improper thinning of fluid soap with water :-(

"Design by Users" by "Bring-your-own-Device" win over industrial "User-centric Design", as it is more comfortable for the users
PS: I won the main price at the Barcamp tombola, a conference ticket :-)
