Judaism is the oldest religion in the world. It was founded 3,500 years ago in the middle east/holy land by its Patriarchs Abraham, Jacob, and Isaac. Judaism also helps start off two other major religions that play a vital role in their everyday lives. It helped start off Christianity which is the most popular religion in the world and the Islamic faith which is the youngest monotheistic religion in the world. All three religions have many of the same beliefs. Judaism also has one of the most traditions that its followers do and are also the most prosecuted religions in the world. Hopefully when you read on, you will have a better understanding of the Judaist faith and religion. 

It was founded 3,500 years ago. It was helped formed by Abraham, Jacob, and Isaac by revelations they received from god to help spread the religion to a lot of people. Judaism celebrations have also one of the oldest they practice and pass it down through each generation. A good example is Hanukkah which they celebrate for 8 days. Another tradition they do is Passover were they celebrate when they escaped slavery from Egypt.

Judaism helped form other distinct religions that are widely used in the world. Christianities and Islam traces back to Judaism tradition and how they follow their faith relates to each other. One good example of this is Christianity; it was formed by Jesus Christ who was partially Jewish. He was the son of the lord and wanted to form a religion that follows only Jesus’ father. Another type of religion that Judaism helps bring up is Islam. It was founded by the Prophet Muhammad in Mecca, Saudi Arabia 1,400 years ago.

One tradition Jewish people follow is Hanukkah. Hanukkah is celebrated for 8 days to commemorate of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem. It is celebrated by lighting the Menorah, which is a candle holder with 9 branches to put the candles in. Each night, they light up one branch until all 8 candles are lit up. Another tradition they do is called Passover. Passover tells the story of the Exodus when God set upon 10 plagues into Egypt and their Pharaoh. What Jewish people did was put blood on the top of their doors to let the spirit of the lord “passed over” which is where they got their name from. They celebrate it on the 15th day of the month. Judaism and its followers are also persecuted countless times by civilizations due to what they practice. First off was that they were held as slaves by the Egyptian Pharaohs for thousands of years. They were forced to build one of the wonders of the world which is the Pyramid until Moses received a revelation from god to free and rescue the Jews. Another example is that they were held prisoners for the Nazi regime. The Nazis and all of Germany blamed the Jews for their economic troubles. They forced Jewish students to leave public schools and closed Jewish owned businesses. They were then sent to concentration camps to get rid of all Jews and their traces of their history and traditions. While in concentrations camps, they were starved to death and forced to work until they ran out of energy. Woman and kids were killed in gas chambers. Eventually, by the time World War II ended, there was an estimated 6 million Jews killed found in mass graves.  

The evidence clearly points that Judaism is practiced by very many, diverse people around the world and is one of the most persecuted religions in history. This was the very first religion to be formed and documented. This religion is around 3,800 years old and was founded by Abraham, Jacob, and Isaac. It also helped form other religious groups such as Christianity and Islamic religions. The religion is also practiced annually by its members like Hanukkah or Passover. They also celebrate their traditions in Synagogues. Judaism is also one of the most persecuted religious groups in history were they were held as slaves for Egyptian Pharaohs and were blamed by Nazi Germany and wanted to terminate all of them from history. Even with all of that, the Judaist people are still proud of who they are and enjoy celebrating their traditions yearly with their family and friends.

The creator of this religion is a man by the name of Mohammed. Mohammed had a complete revelation of what he’s supposed to do during a Muslim life when an angel came to him. He traveled around the Middle East becoming an ascetic to  spread the word of his religion. This religion is the youngest of all the major religions. It is around 1400 years old. They have a thing like the bible, called the Qur’an. It gives Muslims the guide to live their life.

He was born in the city of Mecca, Saudi Arabia. This is where he kind of spent his entire life. The Muslims believe he was the last prophet. There was the prophet Jesus, Abraham, Mohammed. He had a revelation while he was meditating. It is said Allah gave him everything that is in the Qur’an. Mohammed did many things to help the Islamic faith.

Allah is the Islamic god, there one true god. All the Muslims believe in only Allah, and pray to him only. Allah gave the prophet Mohammed a revelation. Mohammed was said to have created the first Qur’an and was the first one to start the Arabic writing in the Qur’an. Allah told Mohammed to create the Qur’an to pass down to generations to teach them about the Muslim lifestyle. The Qur’an contains 114 chapters. 

This is a book that was revealed to Mohammed in the language of Arabic. Mohammed had received several revelations from angels, until he reached his revelation from Allah. The Qur’an is like the Christian bible and has around 114 chapters. The Qur’an is the guide to living a regular Muslim life. It tells the Muslims about their important historical events. The Qur’an is used for everyday life for Muslims around the world. 

The geography of the Islamic faith is a very dry, deserted place. In the place where most Muslims are mostly in the  desert. This religion was created in Saudi Arabia which is by the equator and is surrounded by deserts. It is a very dry place but Saudi Arabia’s’ borderline goes out to the sea giving them various seaports too. There are around one billion followers of this religion. The most concentrated palaces with Muslims are Indonesia and Saudi Arabia. Most of the followers in the Islamic faith were originally in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. This was where the religion was discovered by Mohammed and where millions of Muslims travel to every year to visit famous Muslim places to go and worship. This is some information on the landscape of the where the Muslim faith lives. 

In conclusion, this just a little bit of information on the religion of Islam. There is only one god, and that’s Allah. They worship him and only him. Mohammed created this religion, when he was meditating up in a mountain until an angel came to him and gave him a revelation. This religion is one of the youngest religions there is, but the youngest of all the major religions with 1.3 billion followers. So the Islamic faith is very important, and has a lot of different information.

This religion believes in the path of enlightenment. A man who started the religion sat under a tree for around 7 weeks before he came to a revelation. He discovered the truth that led to the cessation of pain. The religion is more of a way of life than a religion. They don’t so much as believe in god as they do looking for an enlightened path. Buddhism is also a very old religion with many followers. The religion is around 2,500 years old with 376 million followers worldwide. These are just a few interesting facts about the religion Buddhism. 

The creator of Buddhism is Siddhartha Gautama. He was born 500 BCE in Nepal to a king. His father wanted to prevent his son from seeing the outside world and the horrors it will bring to him. Eventually, when he turned 20 he left the palace to go out into the village and for the first time saw what poverty was and being able to see old people. He left the village to become an ascetic until one day he realized that living as a traveling homeless man was not getting him close to the path of enlightenment. He then just sat under a tree for 7 weeks and received a revelation on the Path of Enlightenment on how to do cessation of pain. He also created the Eight Noble Truths which is like the Middle Road to Compassion. The creator of Buddhism was an interesting mans that choose different decision from others to find his own path to enlightenment.

Followers of Buddhism don’t believe in one god. The religion is more spiritual, than believing and praying to god. They train the body more in meditating to develop morality and wisdom for their bodies. They believe that nothing is fixed on anything permanent. They believe that change is inevitable as well. Karma also affects all action and thoughts that will affect them positively/negatively in the future by the way they think. Buddhist also believes in the form of enlightenment such as morality, meditation, and wisdom to change their body mentally and physically. Buddhist can worship anywhere, but most of them worship in their homes or temples. Worshipping consists of meditating, chanting, praying music, and dancing. They also pray to Buddha. The Buddha was a very skinny individual in real life but followers worship to a statue that makes him look very fat. Even though they don’t worship often this how they would spend their Buddhist life. 

The very first one is the Truth of Suffering which they call the Truth of Dukkha. The second one is the Truth of the Origin of Suffering called the Truth of Samudaya. The third one is the Cessation of Suffering called Nirodha. The last and final nobel truth is the Path to the Cessation of Suffering named Magga. These are the Eight fold Path to Enlightenment. These Four Noble Truths are like the 10 commandments in the Christian faith. 

The creator is a very simple, but a very enlightened and intelligent man. The religion is more spiritual, focusing more on the body and mind than god. Its nothing compared to the other major religions. The religion is very old as well being around 2,500 years old with 376 million followers all around the world with most of the followers from India. These are the facts, beliefs, and the way of life of the Buddhist faith.

Hinduism is one of the world’s oldest religions. It was started around 2,000 BCE. This religion is currently the third largest religion in the world behind Christianity and Islam with close to 1 billion followers around the world. No one is sure where Hinduism was first started but some suggest that it was started in Pakistan or in the Middle East. We would like to welcome you to the religion of Hinduism and let you learn more about the religion. 

Most of the Hindus reside in the country of India. 82% of India’s populations are made up Hindus living there. Countries with abig Hinduism population also include Nepal, Sri Lanka, Fiji, and Bali. In the United States, there are not nearly as many Hindus than in India. There are only approximately 1.1 million Hindus in the United States. Hindus also take up 1/6 of the world’s population with 837 million followers worldwide with the world’s population at around 6 billion people. It’s also about 13% of the world’s overall population. In conclusion, there are very many Hindus in the world following their religion.

All Hindus believe in two different things for their religion, the Universal Soul and God. They also believe in three main gods, Brahman, Vishnu, and Shiva who they praise and worship too. Brahman appears in two different forms for the Hindus. He is either a human spirit or forms as a soul. The Hindu religions have many beliefs.

Most Hindus do their worshipping either at home or at a temple which is the same as followers for the Buddhism religion. Who they worship is one god called Brahman. They believe that Brahman has no form and is eternal for all life. They also believe that he is the creator, preserver, and transformer for everything in life. Brahman is also separated into three different principles, one with Brahma who is the creator of the universe. The second one is Vishnu who preserves the universe from collapse, and the last one is Shiva who is the destroyer of the universe. They call their type of worshipping Puja. The Hindus have a simple way of worshipping their gods. 

The type of climate in Pakistan is that the region is very hot. It’s mostly a desert country and has very little water. They also have a famous river, the Indus River, which is where many believe is where Hinduism was first taught and discovered. The type of countries bordering Pakistan is India and Afghanistan. Afghanistan has also faced recent violence in the country and around the border of Pakistan. The regions the Hindus live in have a very warm climate. 

The Hindus have a very large group that follows the religion and where they live at has a very warm climate suitable for living.There worships are plain and easy to do and understand and they can do it from anywhere they want to either at home or at a sacred temple. There belief is they only believe in one god, Brahman, which has many transformations. This is the information we have about the religion of Hinduism.

The religion believes in one and only god. They also believe in the son of god which is Jesus Christ. It is also the largest religion in the world with over 2 billion followers worldwide. The geography of the region where it started was a very desert place. The religion was started where most of the other major religions started which is the Middle East or the Holy Land. Welcome to the World of Christianity.

The number of followers in this religion is very plentiful with over 2 billion followers worldwide. Christianity is a popular religion in the United States and in Asia. Most Christians live in either the United States or China. In the United States, there is about 76% of Americans that are Christians and around 400 million in the country of China. In the beginning of this religion, it was founded in a desert area. The religion began somewhere in the Middle East, more specifically Bethlehem. The geography used to be the desert but now it’s more urban.

The founder or leader of the religion is Jesus Christ. His teachings started the religion of Christianity which he taught to his 12 disciples. The religion started around 80 CE which means the religion is almost 2,000 years old. Jesus was crucified and people decided to follow his teachings. This means that Jesus wasn’t alive during the time the religion was actually started. The history of the religion of Christianity is very interesting. 

God supposedly created the 10 commandments to give to Moses to keep everyone in “Check” that followed him from Egypt. Jesus was basically sent down to relinquish us of all our sins. Jesus died on the cross and was crucified. The believers/followers follow the rules god laid out for them. All of the beliefs are usually told during Church when they worship to god.

Most Christians usually worship to god in a place called the Church. There are so many churches across the Chicago Land Area that it makes it hard to count of all of it. Churches are found all over the world by Christian followers. The title of the main characters are Jesus Christ, God, and the Holy Spirit. Those people are called the “Holy Trinity”. Most Christians don’t meditate but they pray to god by closing their eyes and praying in a quiet place. These are just some practices for Christianity.

Geography and history of Christianity. They have a big population of followers that goes all around the world and started on 80 CE. Christians also have rules to follow that god gave to them, like the Ten Commandments or only believing one god. They also held there practices at Church or at home. All of these things represent the lifestyle of the Christian faith and how they believe in it.
