Our markets

NuclearWorking at licenced nuclear sites across the UK, our operations principally focus on high hazard risk reduction where we provide engineering support for the care and maintenance of operational plant associated with waste treatment or processing, decommissioning, demolition and clean-up of redundant facilities.

Our directly employed multi-skilled operatives undertake all aspects of mechanical and electrical project support, outage management and working in line processes.

GasWorking across the distribution network we undertake gas mains installation and replacement, repair and maintenance, gas fitting, specialist drilling and full reinstatement. Our work is supported by our own materials recycling operation.

RenewableOur expertise in the newer forms of renewable energy includes specialist capabilities in materials handling, hydroelectric development and post warranty wind turbine operations and maintenance.

The Group is experienced in providing design and procurement as well as asset care and maintenance.

TraditionalThe Group provides engineering services maintenance and asset renewal support for the majority of the UK energy generators.

Our capabilities include mechanical and electrical as well as civil engineering services delivered through our embedded support teams.

EnergyOur multidisciplinary engineering services concentrate on the critical planned and reactive maintenance and asset renewal programmes of the UK’s energy assets. Our integrated offering supports generation, grid and decommissioning operations in the nuclear, traditional and renewable energy infrastructure markets.

WaterWe undertake a wide range of water infrastructure development work. We deliver long-term maintenance and improvement schemes to the water network including mains replacements, upgrades to the sewer network and storm water retention schemes.

We have specialist capabilitites and innovative techniques for cleaning the trunk mains water network.

Work is carried out by our highly trained, directly employed workforce utilising our extensive specialised plant fleet.

Land remediationAs a leading provider of sustainable land remediation services we are able to develop and deploy a range of on and off site remediation solutions.

With expertise in soil and groundwater remediation, associated earthworks and highways infrastructure in the UK, our in-house capabilities include soil washing, biophysical treatment, solidification and stabilisation, enhanced segregation and geotechnical improvements.

Our ability to recover up to 100% of soils and excavated materials, including manufacturing high value aggregates, on site can provide a sustainable and cost effective solution for our clients.

EnvironmentalOur range of multidisciplinary engineering services in the environmental market focuses on the water infrastructure development and maintenance sector including flood alleviation and river and coastal defences as well as providing specialist land remediation services.

RailWorking nationally across the rail network, we provide essential maintenance and renewal works including off-track civil engineering works, tunnel and shaft refurbishment and enhancement, structural renewal and maintenance and refurbishment of lineside structures.

We undertake the renewal and maintenance of mechanical and electrical installations and delivery of a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance and asset management services.

Our services include feasibility and solution development, design, design management, project management, construction, installation, commissioning and operation and maintenance services.

Wireless telecomsWe provide specialist wireless infrastructure services for the UK’s cellular network operators and major network equipment manufacturers.

Our work includes the acquisition, design and construction of sites, the installation and commissioning of the equipment and connection to the networks for 2G, 3G, 4G and Wi-Fi technologies.

We undertake all aspects of site maintenance and decommissioning. Specialist capabilities include provision of indoor wireless coverage solutions and special events temporary cellular network coverage.
