SAND2020-3896 O SNL in Vietnam Remote Engagement Outcome August 22, 2019: 68 remote sites joined in via Zoom linking 10 animal and public health universities from Vietnam One Health University Network with other academic universities from DRC and three new Libyan Universities (Benghazi University, Tripoli University and Omar al-Mukhtar University) Vietnam VOHUN BioRisk Management Integration Program UPDATE | August, 2019 Sandia National Laboratories, in collaboration with the Vietnam National One Health University Network (VOHUN) and funding support from the U.S. Department of Defense Biological Threat Reduction Program (BTRP), held the fourth One Health Biorisk Management case-based learning remote engagement ECHO session on August 22, 2019. Due to summer holiday/vacation season in Vietnam there was a slightly reduced attendance from previous sessions. The engagement utilized the Zoom video conferencing platform and brought together approximately 150 students and professors from 10 Vietnamese universities, three universities from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and three Libyan universities to discuss human and animal health cases from a biorisk management perspective. Close to 200 participants attended the remote engagement session to discuss the importance of BRM Shipping Best Practices in the context of the medical and veterinary fields. Relevant One Health case studies were discussed, and knowledge was exchanged via conversations among Vietnam participants, DRC, Libyan participants and SNL subject matter experts.
