Paloncha Import substitution through indigenization was successfully carried out for the Speed Reduction Gear Box of 32 MW (Unit-1) PP (T). This is a critical component for the operation of the power plant, whose indigenous manufacture has helped saving 50% in capital costs and eight months in lead time for supply. Further, this has enabled full utilization of the Unit capacity. Sonic soot blowers were arranged in HP module of waste heat recovery unit of 4th

In the 150 MW power plant of NBEIL, ID Fan Impellers and Boiler Feed Pumps were replaced after modifications. Further, variable frequency drive was installed for the condensate extraction pump and flow controller at the air compressor. This has resulted in bringing down
the auxiliary power consumption to 9.1% from 10.2%.
