WHY WAS SAINT YON BUILT?

3

Saint Yon was built because the Australian Government

was giving money under a scheme called the ‘Trade

Training Centre's in Schools Program’.

The government says:

• They want to offer a broader range of meaningful

subjects to students so that school is more relevant

and interesting.

• They want to promote commencement pathways into

vocations.

• Australia has skills shortages in traditional trades

which need to be filled.
