The objectives of the Manitoba Water Polo Association Inc:

To legislate and regulate water polo competitions at all levels in Manitoba;

To promote water polo in Manitoba;

To raise the level and standard of

water polo in the Province;

To raise the standards of all aspects of water polo;

To support and encourage club development. (A club consists of two active water polo teams registered with the Manitoba Water Polo Association Inc.)

GRANTS:Various types of grants and scholarships are available through Manitoba Water Polo Association and Sport Manitoba for athletes,

directly for a comprehensive list.

MISSION: The Manitoba Water Polo Association will, with our partners build a community for the growth, development and visibility of water polo

VISION: Water Polo is the fastest growing sport in Manitoba

PROGRAMS:Squirts Festival: To promote the development of water polo at the 11U level. Since competition is not recommended at this age, the festival provides playing/skill development as well as encouraging team building.

Aqua Fusion Camps: To introduce water polo as an aquatic sport to children who are already involved in aquatics - i.e. - swim, synchro, dive.

I Love Water Polo: Introductory, grass roots water polo program for boys and girls ages 8 – 12. In a learn to play environment, similar to swimming lessons, participants discover the game of water polo, and the basic skills involved in aquatic sports.

High School and Middle Years Water Polo League: To encourage game play and competition through an organized school league. Focus is on

Winter League: To encourage game play and further skill development after High School League is completed. Focus is on skill

Provincial Championships: Yearly competition held to determine Manitoba Provincial Champions in each respective and participating age category. Club based program

Provincial Team Program: Designed to ensure competitive advancement in the province and representation at National Championships, Western Games, Canada Games and other National events.
