Please make sure students are well fed and rested on testing days. State of the art software programs examine all testing results and can statistically pinpoint students who may have shared answers. If this occurs, student tests may be invalidated. Encourage your child to relax, do his or her best, and rely on the testing tips and preparation which has been ongoing within our classrooms. Freshman, sophomores, and juniors: your last day to check out books from the media center will be this Friday, April 29th. You may continue to renew your books after that, but make sure to return all media center materials and take care of any fees by May 27th. Failure to do so will place you on the obligation list. Seniors: you may no longer check out books but you may continue to renew. However, please make sure to return your materials and take care of your fees as soon as you can! Underclassmen awards night will be held Thursday, May 26 in the theater. Invitations are being mailed on Monday and RSVP cards are due in guidance byTuesday, May 10th. Can you sing, dance, do magic, stand on one leg, eat swords, or are in a band? This is your chance to shine. This also includes teachers and staff. Auditions will take place Monday, April 25 after school in the Drama Room 2104. The show will take place on May 5th at 7:00 pm. Be part of the legacy that is the talent show, and walk away a winner. If you are interested in being in the show, please stop by room 2104 for an audition packet. FINISH THE YEAR ORGANIZED AND SWING BY STUDENT SERVICES AND BUY A SCHOOL PLANNER FOR ONLY $1.....YES, YOU HEARD IT RIGHT......ONLY $1!!! The senior yearbook signing party will be April 29th in the cafeteria. Any senior student that purchased a yearbook will receive a wristband on Friday the 29th from their first hour teacher. Only students with wristbands will be allowed into signing party. Yearbooks will be on sale for $100 until April 28th and are available in room 6204. Underclass students will receive their yearbooks during lunch on May 2nd. The PTA is selling Enjoy the City coupon books to benefit Project Graduation. These books have thousands of dollars of coupons including Panera, Rotelli's, Fresh Market (which can be used at Publix), Dick's (good at Sport's Authority) and so much more! The books are $20. Come out for one last party with your graduating class at Xtreme Action Park on May 25 from 9pm until 1am. Exciting hypnotist show at 9pm followed by private use of all activities at Xtreme! CLUBS Spanish National Honor Society ­ New Member Induction is next week ! The Spanish National Honor Society formal induction ceremony will take place in the West Boca Raton High School media Center, Thursday, April 28th, 2016 at 6:00 pm. New inductees, current officers, and seniors in good standing (who are receiving graduation cords) should arrive by 5:45 pm. Reminder: Professional dress is required for new inductees as well as SNHS members attending. For any Key Club members who have turned in a TLE for working the car wash this Sunday, it has been cancelled. Also, our last Key Club meeting of the year will be on Tuesday, May 3rd after school in the cafeteria. National Honor Society ­ New Member Induction 2016 The National Honor Society formal induction ceremony and new officer installation will take place in the West Boca Raton High School Theater, Monday, April 25th, 2016 at 7:00 pm. New inductees, current NHS juniors, and NHS seniors in good standing (who are receiving graduation cords and tassels) should arrive by 6:30 pm. Reminder: Professional dress is required for NHS inductees and NHS members. Please contact Mrs. Kline with any questions. Tuesday April 26, during lunch, Science National Honor Society will have it’s final meeting in Mrs. Faustin’s room. We will be presenting cords to all Seniors that are in good standing and t­shirts to those that have fulfilled their SNHS duties this year. Also, we will be holding board elections for next year. If you are a current junior or sophomore SNHS member in good standing and would like to run for a position, please pick up an application packet from Mrs. Faustin in room 5116. The completed packets are due by Monday the 25th. We hope to see you all there. The West Boca High Samaritans365 Club is collecting gift cards for the foster care students of Best Foot Forward. Against all odds, a group of these students will be going away to college next year and could use help to furnish and decorate their dorm rooms. Let's help by providing as many gift cards as we can so they can purchase the essentials for college! Next time you or your relatives are shopping, please consider buying a small denomination gift card from Bed Bath & Beyond, Target or Walmart and donating it to the fundraiser. Monday 4/25 Varsity Flag Football vs Lake Worth @ BR 5:30 pm ( Districts) Wednesday 4/27 Varsity Baseball @ Martin County 7:00 pm ( Regional) Thursday 4/28 Track @ Blanche Ely 1:00 pm ( Regional ) Congratulations to the members of the track team who qualified for the Regional meet next Thursday. Austin Chin placed 3rd in the discus and Ashley Nord placed 4th in the 100m hurdles. The girls 4x100 relay team had an amazing come from behind race to place third. Joscelyn Richards, Amanda Benevente, Vineice Bell and Deneathia Dieujuste will join Austin and Ashley in representing West Boca next week at Regionals. Be sure to congratulate them and wish them luck. The girls flag football team won their 7th straight game last night to finish the season at 9­3 The score was 54­0 over Village Academy. Jacque Langley scored 3 touchdowns and an extra point to lead all scorerers. Amanda Benevente scored 2 touchdowns and 2 extra points and Luanner Rodriguez scored 2 touchdowns. Jessica Fals scored another touchdown and added an extra point The girls next play Lake Worth in the District playoffs on Monday at Boca High at 6:00 The girls flag football team won their 6th straight game with a hard fought win over Jupiter. Jacque Langley scored the go ahead touchdown in the third quarter and Brianna Clark scored the key extra point for the win. Jupiter came back in the final minute to score a touchdown and went for the win by choosing to go for 2 Points, but the defense stopped them for the win. Congratulations to our girls tennis team for winning the FHSSA tennis state championship. Great team play from Ana Bright, Jacara Gillis, Ally Nerf, Eden Sela and Francine Voit brought the championship to West Boca High School. Congratulations to the girls.

Student Volunteers Needed Morikami Museum is in need of volunteers to help for an upcoming Hatsume Fair, taking place Saturday & Sunday, April 16 & 17, 2016. This is Morikami's largest annual event, two days of taiko performances, martial arts demonstrations, cosplay/costume contests, plant, craft & anime vendors, the Japanese food market, children's activities and so much more! The Miracle League of Palm Beach County is looking to recruit new “buddies” for their baseball and cheer programs.
