This is a mingle activity for oral interaction. Students practice small talk asthey share wedding secrets.
WARMER
THE T eacher introduces who’s who at a wedding (bride, best man, groom, maid of honor, …)
Tell your class that this is a wedding party and all have been invited toit. They’re all guests. Give each one a role card that must be readindividually.
Students stand up and mingle. Each one is assigned a role card andthey first introduce themselves as well as greet the rest of guests.
They must know that they’re quite far away from the bride and groomand their parents.
They can begin gossiping then, sharing their “secrets”, thus showingsurprise, anger, reacting to other guests’ comments.
When they’ve finished, they can sit down and talk about their findings.
