in your wall. Insulating and sealing your home will help lower costs—all year long.

Plenum heaters andelectric boiler systems

A plenum heater sits within your duct work just above your furnace to create a dual fuel system. An electric boiler heats liquid for radiator, baseboard, and hydronic floor heating systems. Both offer 100 percent efficient electric heating!

Receive a rebate of $500 per unit when you install a 9 kilowatt or larger plenum heater or electric boiler on the Dual Fuel or Residential Demand Control Rates.

Ready to update your water heater?Install an electric water heater that’s at least 90 percent efficient on an off-peak rate or monthly bill credit program to qualify for a rebate of $150 to $400.

Electronically commutated motorsAn electronically commutated motor—ECM for short—adjusts air flow and cuts the energy your furnace fan consumes by 75 percent. An ECM:

• Makes a furnace air handling system quieter.

• Reduces temperature fluctuation.• Reduces the drying effect of winter heating.

Install an ECM with your new heating system—regardless of the fuel type it uses—and get a $100 rebate.

Geothermal and air-source heat pumps generally are equipped with an ECM integrated into the system and won’t qualify for this rebate. Learn about heat pump rebates on the next page.

Receive a $400* per ton rebate on an ENERGY STAR® qualified air-source heat pump or one with a 15 or greater SEER, 12.5 EER, and 8.5 HSPF.

Receive an $800* per ton rebate on an ENERGY STAR® qualified geothermal heat pump or one with qualified COP and EER ratings.

Designed for our weather, cold-climate heat pumps (CCHPs) operate with 200 percent efficiency at 0°F and up to 400 percent efficiency in warmer temps.

A CCHP may qualify for a rebate of $600* per ton when it’s:

• Rated with a heating season performance factor (HSPF) of 10 or greater and served on a qualified off-peak rate,

OR• Meets or exceeds

ENERGY STAR® ratings: 15 or greater seasonal energy efficiency rating (SEER), 12.5 or greater energy efficiency ratio (EER), and 10 or greater HSPF, regardless of rate.
