Wesley CottageBelieved to date from circa 1709, Wesley Cottage is an attractive Grade II listed attached, two-storey cottage with a converted attic. It is built of local Ham stone under a double Roman clay tiled roof, with an extension added in about 1900 to one gable end of local stone and a Welsh slate roof. The property has been fully updated by the current owners including the re-roofing of the principal part of the property in early 2017 and it is very well presented. The cottage has considerable charm and has retained many period features including flagstone floors, stone mullion windows and window seats.

On the ground floor the front door opens to a broad entrance hall with stairs rising to the first floor and doors to the sitting and dining rooms. Both rooms look out across the garden and have fireplaces

fitted with wood burning stoves. Also off the hall is the downstairs shower room/WC. A further door from the dining room leads to the kitchen/ breakfast room, which has windows on two sides, a painted and timbered ceiling and is fitted with a range of units and a Neff range cooker with electric double ovens and a 5-ring gas hob. Beyond the kitchen is the family room, which has a stable door leading to the garden and overlooks the paved terrace, which is a suntrap in sunny weather. Further doors lead off to the cloakroom and to the rear hall, which leads through to the attached single garage.

On the first floor are the master bedroom which has an en-suite WC, three further double bedrooms and the family bathroom. Twin staircases rise from the landing to the attics, which have been converted to form a single bedroom and separate dressing area/playroom.

Gardens & GroundsWesley Cottage sits gable end onto a quiet residential lane. A pedestrian gate opens off the lane to a paved path running across the front of the cottage, which is covered with flowering shrubs including a mature wisteria. Alongside is a flower border flanked by dry stone walling leading onto a broad expanse of lawn with a paved terrace sited at one end to catch the late afternoon/evening sun. The garden to the front of the cottage is bounded by mature hedging and shrubs and is private. The lawn rises up to a further area of lawn behind a mature laurel hedge and to one side are two timber garden sheds and a log store. To the rear of the cottage is a shared access to a gravelled parking area beside the attached single garage.
