Fireworks to light up Manistee during Forest Festival

    SeeCHAMBERpage 3

This years ForestFestival begins onThursday, July 1 and con-tinues through Sundayevening on July 4, withour beloved fireworks atthe beach, presented bythe Little River CasinoResort and supported bythe Manistee World of Artsand Crafts.

Throughout the year, dozens of volunteers workto plan the events thatcollectively we call the

    Manistee National Forest

Festival and as we drawcloser, the number of

    volunteers swell into thehundreds.

All of the planning andsponsorship and detailsare for nothing without the

    key component the one

thing that makes MNFFso special people. Theforest festival has an enor-mous economic impact onour community and this

year we need that boost asmuch as ever. And so, thisis your call to action.

Invite your fam-ily and friends to cometo Manistee for ForestFestival this year. Motivatethem with tales of thefireworks, the parade(on Saturday, July 3).

    Remind them of the class

reunion atmosphere atAquapalooza on Saturdaynight and wind themup about the juried artsand crafts show at RedSyzmarek park. Invite

your family and friends tostay with you (if you haveroom and tolerance) orsuggest to them any of thehotels, motels, cottages, condos, campgrounds andcabins in our beautifulcounty. If they need anyextra convincing, ask them

to become a fan of the

Manistee National ForestFestival on Facebook thatll tip the scales as theyreceive frequent updateson events.

Our community is inits very best light duringthe four special days of theManistee National ForestFestival and with yourhelp, this will be our finestfestival ever.
