DAY 1ARRIVE CALGARYWelcome to Calgary! Situated at the eastern gateway to the Canadian Rockies,

where the prairie turns into the foothills, Calgary is a cosmopolitan Alberta city

steeped in Western Culture.

After our included transfer, we check in to our well-appointed downtown hotel and

have some time to relax before heading to the grounds of the Calgary Stampede

where we'll experience the energy and excitement of the "Greatest Outdoor Show

on Earth." We kick off our western adventure with dinner at the Evening Show,

featuring a Derby with heats of Chuckwagon races, Grandstand Show, and fireworks

finale.

DAY 2CALGARY STAMPEDEThe Calgary Stampede features one of the world's largest rodeos, as well as a

parade, midway, stage shows, concerts, agricultural competitions, chuckwagon

racing, and First Nations exhibitions--all celebrating the heritage and cultures of the

“Old West.”

Late morning, we'll make our way to the Stampede Fairgrounds for lunch and an

afternoon at the rodeo to experience the action and entertainment in style.

DAY 1ARRIVE CALGARY AND ONTO ROCKIESAfter arriving in Calgary, we head West and North into the Canadian Rockies. Along

the way, we'll visit Lake Louise, known for its brilliant turquoise waters and

picturesque setting. We check in and meet up with fellow guests who came early for

the Calgary Stampede. This evening we sit down for a welcome dinner and toast to

the upcoming adventure.

PRIVATE MOUNTAIN LODGE ESCAPEThis morning we have a scenic transfer to our helipad in the Columbia Valley where a short helicopter flight will take us up to our

private mountain lodge in the Purcell range for a once-in-a-lifetime wilderness experience.

Together, we spend the next three and a half days relaxing and exploring mountain vistas, alpine lakes, meadows of wildflowers, and

glaciers of the Columbia Mountains. A typical day involves a hearty breakfast, followed by a helicopter ride to a breathtakingly

beautiful location for morning activities. We break for a delicious packed lunch, and then take another helicopter flight to a new

afternoon location. Activities and hikes are tailored to accommodate all abilities and interests, with something for everyone to enjoy.

Experienced mountain guides will teach us about the geography and wildlife of the area while expertly guiding us around this pristine

wilderness. Other options may include painting, photography, more adventurous climbing activities, or just relaxing and taking in the

view. Every evening back at the lodge, we unwind together with drinks, stories, and a well-deserved dinner.

WED, JUL 20

DAY 5DEPART LODGE AND ONTO BANFFThis morning we say farewell to our mountain retreat and board the helicopter for

our return to civilization. After landing we head to the small mountain community of

Banff, a UNESCO World Heritage Site nestled in the Canadian Rockies. Lunch is on

our own and the afternoon is free to explore this charming, western town first

settled in the 1880s when the transcontinental railway was built through the Bow

Valley.

This evening, we’ll enjoy a group dinner at the property.

THU, JUL 21

DAY 6BANFF EXPLORATIONBanff is the ultimate summer destination. Whether we’re looking to take advantage

of the wide variety of recreational opportunities or to relax and unwind, the natural

beauty of the area provides the perfect setting to take a break from your daily

routine and find fun and rejuvenation. Today we experience this idyllic mountain

area through options that could include:

Fly fishing on the Bow River

Paradise Ridge ATV tour

Golf at the Fairmont Banff Springs

Rejuvenating at the Banff Springs Spa

Horseback trail ride

Tonight, enjoy an opportunity to sample one of the many fantastic dining options

available in town or on-site at the Fairmont.

DAY 7BANFFToday we have the luxury of a free day in Banff to catch our breath and soak in our

DAY 8DEPART BANFFToday, guests on Option 2: Calgary Stampede & Canadian Rockies return to Calgary

Airport to catch flights home.

For those on Option 1 or Option 3, we will remain in Banff for an additional day

before heading to the Banff Train Station to board the deluxe Rocky Mountaineer

train for two days of luxury all-daylight rail travel.

DAY 1BANFFEnjoy a final day in this world-class destination before we continue our journey west

toward the coast. Our Travel Director is happy to provide recommendations and

assist with making any arrangements. We'll gather as a group tonight for our last

dinner in Banff.

DAY 2BANFF TO KAMLOOPS (BRITISH COLUMBIA)After an early breakfast, we’ll be transferred to Banff Station to board the deluxe

Rocky Mountaineer at Banff Station for two days of all-daylight rail travel carving

through otherwise inaccessible terrain in the Canadian Rockies. Sit back and relax

while we see and hear about the fascinating geology, history, and wildlife of the

mountains from our Rocky Mountaineer host.

Enjoy luxury GoldLeaf Service that features a two level carriage with a dining room

on the main level and seating on top. The upper level allows views above the

treeline and boasts glass-domed roofs that provide 360° views. GoldLeaf Service

also includes an exclusive outdoor viewing platform that lets us get even closer to

the views! In the main level dining room, we order from a three-course, a la carte

menu as well as enjoy snacks and drinks provided throughout the day with local

produce and Canadian Okanagan wines on offer.

Today’s highlights include the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels, the Kicking

Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass and Craigellachie – where the last spike of the Canadian

Pacific Railway was driven. Arrive in Kamloops between 6:30-8:00pm and spend the

evening relaxing in a local hotel.

MON, JUL 25

DAY 3KAMLOOPS TO VANCOUVERBoard the Rocky Mountaineer at 7:35 am and continue west, where we will continue

to survey the Canadian landscape and experience dramatic scenery changes, from

the desert-like environment of the Interior, through winding river canyons and

pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade Mountains and the lush green fields of the

Fraser Valley. Arrive in the bustling west coast seaport of Vancouver between 6:00

and 7:30pm and enjoy a farewell dinner on the last night of our Canadian adventure.

DAY 4DEPART VANCOUVEROur unforgettable Canadian journey has come to an end. Transfer to Vancouver
