WOLVES CAMPS 2016 Catawba Science Center Scout Camps begin in February 2016! Join Catawba Science Center and Piedmont Council of Boy Scouts of America for a night to remember at Catawba Science Center. These events are filled with fun for the boys and the accompanying adults. Hands-on classes help fulfill Scout activity requirements. Enjoy snacks and a late night movie, too! This year, participants have the option to attend “Evening Only” or “Overnight.” Overnighters get to sleep throughout CSC, see an early morning planetarium show, and visit CSC exhibitions. Also new this year for overnighters – a warm breakfast from Chick-fil-A. What to Expect: A full evening of classes with two light snacks. Evening ends with optional educational movie and downtime before lights out at midnight. Wake up and enjoy a warm breakfast from Chick-fil-A beginning at 7:15 a.m. Exhibits will be open for exploration. What to Bring: Sleeping bag, sleeping pad, pillow, toothbrush, toothpaste, 2 liter bottle and spending money for the Science Shop. Due to space limitations, please no queen size air mattresses. Where to Come: Catawba Science Center, Ground Level Lobby (located off Third St. NE, near library entrance). CSC is located on the SALT Block, 243 3rd Ave. NE, Hickory. Objectives: Grow Something #1, #2, #4 Planes to Boats—Create paper airplanes and wind-powered boats. Test them against others and see how well they work. Join Catawba Science Center and Piedmont Council of Boy Scouts of America for a night to remember at Catawba Science Center. These events are filled with fun for the boys and the accompanying adults. Hands-on classes help fulfill Scout activity requirements. Enjoy snacks and a late night movie, too!
